Thanks for the work on this. :) I don't have a great deal of money, so I'm going to dip out of a regular sub and come back and check it out again in a few more months. I bought ToN via Steam, so it's been really good to come here get some insight into why the game is so strictly linear - in that you're developing and breadcrumbing for a small group of loyal fans here who basically have manageable puzzles to figure out every update. What that means / meant for me was facing ToN as a 'complete work' was pretty frustrating since it's so much about "You must find all of A,B&C before you can do X". The conversations with strangers on the street in TGO to give you hints where to find stuff is a very nice QoL improvement. With ToN I relied heavily on a 3rd party walkthrough to find the bits I was missing and I seriously CBF getting the 100% to unlock the final scene with Madalyn ... it was 'un-fun' purgatory. If you're pursuing a broader market of casual gamers with Steam, and want to tease and lead into (sell) the 4th game, maybe make the final scene(s) not require a time consuming 100% unlock? I was playing 0.45 and noticed a few small bugs and errors: One small typo in text; one of the conversations in the church. It's an 'is is' kind of thing, so a spell checker won't find it. Also the lockpicking mini-game doesn't seem to work for me; chests auto-unlock when the timer runs out, and correctly picking the tumblers doesn't make it end. Had one game crash while collecting treasure in the forest (picked up an artifact and the game exited). I do wonder if you're going to include a config.set in the final version of this game? ;) o7
