The room was a mess of chatter and yawns. Kirishima and Kaminari were arguing over cereal rankings, Mina had already turned her desk into a nail-painting station, and Todoroki was quietly sipping tea like none of this mattered. Which, to be fair, it didn’t.
Aizawa entered first, looking like he had lost custody of sleep in a messy divorce. He didn’t speak. He just trudged in, dropped folders over his desk, and fell into the chair like it owed him money.
Then came Principal Nezu.
Cheerful. Smiling. Holding a folder that radiated "incident reports" and "possible lawsuits."
Ryuu barely glanced up from where he was doodling on the back of a math worksheet.
Nezu cleared his throat.
"Midoriya Ryuu," he said, voice too chipper for the hour, "You’re free to go. Three-day leave. No classes, no tests, no lectures."
Ryuu blinked once. Then twice.
"...Seriously?"
"Yes."
"Sweet."
He stood up, slung his bag over one shoulder, and was out the door before anyone could stop him. “Later losers!”
Bakugo stood up like he had just watched someone piss on his All Might figurine. “The fuck does he mean 'three-day leave'? What did he do—set a teacher on fire again?!”
Mina blinked. “Wait… again?”
Aizawa didn’t even flinch. “No fires. This time.”
Kirishima leaned over to Jiro. “Bro probably blackmailed the entire Board of Education with scandal footage. I’d bet my protein stash on it.”
“Please,” Jiro muttered. “He’s saving that for finals.”
“Is he… not gonna ask why?” Kaminari muttered.
“Nope,” Jiro replied. “He’s Ryuu. He hears ‘free’ and assumes someone died to make it happen.”
A long silence stretched in his absence.
Nezu adjusted his tie with practiced flair and turned to the class, beaming.
“Now then! While Mr. Midoriya enjoys his state-sanctioned vacation, you’ll all be hosting a very special group of guests.”
Aizawa groaned, face buried in his scarf. “They’re not guests. They’re a disaster prevention unit with cameras.”
“Close!” Nezu chirped. “The Hero Public Safety Commission has arranged for a documentary-style audit to assess Ryuu’s recent post-license performance.”
Yaoyorozu sat upright in panic. “Wait—he hasn’t done anything publicly terrible since the mock test, right?”
Bakugo snorted. “He exists. That’s public enough.”
“They’ll be conducting interviews,” Nezu continued, undeterred, “filming footage around the school, and speaking with everyone who’s ever interacted with young Midoriya. Faculty, staff, students, civilians, small woodland creatures—”
“...Woodland creatures?” Tsuyu blinked.
“He did allegedly bribe a raccoon with peanut butter to steal Aizawa’s report files last month,” Yaoyorozu muttered.
Sero leaned in. “Did it work?”
Aizawa didn’t answer. Just sighed deeper.
“Please behave,” Nezu finished with a grin. “This is being recorded.”
“Wait,” Mina whispered, “Does that mean... we’re gonna be on camera?”
“...Oh no,” Uraraka groaned, covering her face. “They’re gonna ask about him.”
“Even worse,” Jiro added. “They’re gonna show footage.”
Bakugo cracked his knuckles. “I hope they show the pipe sabotage. I still owe him for that.”
“And please,” Nezu added, “try not to trigger any of the failsafes Mr. Midoriya left behind.”
“Failsafes?” Yaoyorozu echoed, already anxious.
The class collectively exchanged horrified glances, knowing full well Ryuu’s idea of 'failsafe' was dangerously flexible.
Aizawa groaned. “He rerouted half the school’s motion sensors to blast Rick Astley if they detect anyone with a clipboard.”
Mina gasped. “That’s… kinda beautiful.”
“Also installed a glitter bomb in my office,” Aizawa added, voice flat. “It detonated on a Monday.”
The class collectively rolled. The audit hadn’t even started, but somehow it already felt like collective detention.
From the hallway came the fading sound of a vending machine being shaken aggressively, followed by the unmistakable snap of a protein bar being liberated by violence.
Ryuu’s vacation had officially begun.
The rest of them?
They were about to live through “The Midoriya Audit.”
They didn't notice the cameras at first.
The crew was quiet. Professional. Almost annoyingly respectful. They wore black jackets with tiny Hero Public Safety Commission crests, and each had a body-mounted rig designed for smooth motion capture. There was no boom mic. No big spotlight. Just silent lenses following students through their day like overly judgmental ghosts.
They never spoke. Just nodded. Blinked. Smiled the kind of smile that screamed "I’ve read your browser history and judged you accordingly."
Someone swore they saw one of them writing in a notebook labeled “Risk Level: Demonic Gremlin.” No one confirmed it.
Mina tried offering them a smoothie. They declined. Politely. Then the smoothie exploded an hour later.
Ryuu wasn’t even on campus.
One cameraman claimed to see Ryuu’s reflection in a third-story window. No one could confirm it.

Still no trace of Ryuu.

“All of it,” Kaminari whispered. “The school, the show, the psychological warfare. You ever think he’s not chaotic by accident but by design?”
Sero nodded slowly. “Bro’s not a student. He’s a boss fight.”
Clip #2 – Yaoyorozu in the Library (Unaware):
The footage shifted to Yaoyorozu at a corner table, surrounded by open notebooks, half-drafted schematics, and what appeared to be a blueprint for a containment chamber labeled “Plan B: If Ryuu Becomes a Threat.”
She didn't know the camera was zooming in.
“You should not record her like that,” Iida’s voice said off-screen, firm and muffled. “That’s a breach of privacy.”
The angle didn’t change.
“...But she is planning to build a Ryuu-proof cell,” he admitted. “So maybe document that part.”
Yaoyorozu tapped her pen on the edge of her notebook and muttered:
“Seventy-five percent chance he hijacks their documentary. Eighty percent if someone lets him talk.”
She sighed.
“...Ninety-five if Mina tells him they’re here.”
Clip #3 – Locker Room Trap Cam:
Bakugo slammed his locker shut and turned just in time to spot a motionless lens poking out from the ceiling tile.
“...The hell is that?”
Kirishima, already halfway into his hero suit, blinked up.
“Oh, dude. That’s the Ryuu Audit thing, right?”
Bakugo’s eye twitched.
“They put a camera in here?!”
He glared at it, fists popping.
“That little gremlin sleeps naked and I’m the one getting filmed?!”
Clip #3.5 – Brief Staff Montage:
Midnight: “Honestly? I find him endearing. Like a gremlin you’d adopt but legally can’t feed after midnight.I tried it once. Still dealing with the consequences.”
Present Mic: “YO! That KID’S got VIBES! Also, he hacked my music player to loop Baby Shark for an hour. My soul still hurts.”
Cementoss: (sighs) “He built a full obstacle course in my classroom. Out of desks. And taffy.”

She danced aggressively while pouring in questionable amounts of lemon soda.
“You want the truth?” she asked mid-sway, not looking at the lens. “Ryuu’s like... a contagious personality. You hang around him too long and suddenly you’re sleeping on rooftops and taunting villains.”
She stuck a spoon in her concoction and tasted it.
“He gave me a fake Quirk name once,” she added. “Said I should go by 'Strawberry Menace'. And I liked it. That’s the real problem.”
Clip #5 – 2 A.M. Footage, Dorm Common Area:
Todoroki sat on the couch in complete silence.
The lights were low. A documentary crewmember had clearly left a drone on overnight.
He reached for the remote, paused, and muttered:

He pressed play.

Yup, he never reveals the system and what Aizawa meant was something else. In first drat the sentence was; “No one moves like that without training. The system favors control, but he thrives in chaos—and plans through it.” During editing, I changed it to, “No one moves like that without training. The System makes him cocky, but he’s calculating everything.” But meant: “No one moves like that without training. His Quirk makes him cocky, but he’s calculating everything.” Thanks!
