Lol. I thought your comment was valid and sometimes I don't always express what I am thinking clearly so I get to do plenty of rewrites.

Jeff

Am I dreaming? Or did Amos the First rewrite the Kings part of this chapter? I could have sworn he was saying something a lot dumber before.

Gopard

Thanks for the chapter! Dude... I was thinking the King may be bad but with Countess Blackwell and her plans SURELY at least Part of the Council is confirmed much worse but... How the fuck can a country proof the fucking clishees about nobillity so well??? The more I read the more I feel like the april fools story of eventual Bicam Indepence is almost the best outcome Lmao!!! (Despite it certainly requiring at least one massive conflict where the Men of the North throw back those foolish and inferior equipped Falmoren Hordes)

"Since they were the most modern, they had to be the most efficient, though." I've heard people say they cost so much to make and maintain both in dollar value and in energy costs (let alone polutants) that they really aren't good return on investment or for saving the environment. Haven't looked into it enough to know if it is true but I do know that most of the time if I have a modern version of something and a working older version of it I will usually want to use the older version every time unless it is specifically involving computers and related technologies. Modern stuff, in America anyway, generally sucks eggs. 'For the next half-bell bell,' Too many bells. "Actually they have been working on the road and I believe we can get to Pine ridge, as you call it, in a day and a half." Capitalise 'ridge' "I would rather have you in here than those nerds' I wonder what the archaic word for a nerd would be? Poor Amos, after he saves himself from this by military technical superiority the King he has loosely allied himself with through his old Count is going to assume he is trying to take over the Kingdom and try to assassinate him or outright try him for treason for having built up an unlawful force (don't know if it is unlawful but since no other noble arms peasants like this it wouldn't surprise me if there are some laws that could be bent that way or the King will just make a new one since it would only affect Amos it wouldn't piss any of the other nobles off to create a new law...)

Personally I like his cousin the Duke of Falmore better.

Carson Spencer

That is what a lot of the kingdom would like to know. He should never have tried to build on his fathers success. Nepotism at its worst.

Jeff

The more I read about the king, the more I think he is as checked out as the Duke crazy. He knows about the obvious plot to make him look like an idiot and then proves he is an idiot. SO WHY IS HE IN THIS WAR AGAIN?

Carson Spencer

That is not off the table.

tibbish

Not sure if you want to go that route but black powder grenades (google smoke pots) would be terribly effective and simple to make. Historically the issue with them was the fuses were not that good which made them unreliable and sometimes dangerous to use but that is mostly training and quality control issues.

Carson Spencer

I agree.

Looks like there are looming threats everywhere. The king wants him dead, the rebels want him dead… Poor Amos. I think he should really try ramping up his military
