Thanks for the chapter! So... Has the past finally caught up to the poor fugitive ladies now hmm? XD I highly doubt anything bad would ever come from these obviously meant to be very positive guests though so it will probably all end up quite fine!

Yeah ancient or medevial methods of doing math would seem incredibly overly complicated or strange by our standards today. I've only seen a few examples but they were legitimately difficult to figure out even for simple division problems. They also loved using fractions and weird supplementary tables or tools specific to certain problems that we'd have no clue of today. Google stuff like the Rule of Marteloio for an example. I can't remember the name of the other example that I used to know but they had a method to do addition via subtraction combined with huge books of tables and globes to do their navigation while at sea for a long time. It all seemed to be so pointlessly complicated and convoluted but things like linear algebra hadn't been invented yet so they had to make do.
