interesting reaction

SPOILER ALERT: Butch was being paid by Marcellas to deliberately lose the fight in the fifth round. Then Butch betrayed him by deliberately winning early. Butch made more money that way, That's why Marcellas was mad at Butch. He cost money.

Groundbreaking movie, but after watching it a hundred times, and then again with you guys, you can see where it's slower than it needs to be. I think you could cut 10-15 minutes and never know they're gone. Keep on rockin

ah yes, one of my all time favorite movies. Great reaction. The contents of the briefcase is what is called a "McGuffin." That is a story device where there is something that appears to be important but it isn 't or it is used as a distraction for something else but everyone involved thinks it is important. One of the fan theories that is way out there but is interesting is that the briefcase contains Wallace's soul. The reason he has a bandaid on the back of his neck is because his soul was sucked out and then put in the briefcase. This is the wildest theory I've heard and it makes no sense to me. Sometimes fan theories are like that. The reason Vincent is always in the bathroom is because heroin is an opiate derivative and they cause constipation. So he is always in there reading because it takes him a while to do his business. 😂 I cannot wait for other Tarintino reactions! Let's do it!

From now on, Quentin Tarantino will forever more be known as “Quarentino”. 😂

This was always my father's favorite movie. Many good memories watching this movie together!
Manospondylus
Yeah Afraid he couldn't dance. lol
Troy Runyan
Like this movie! Quentin Tarantino is a prolific film maker. A couple other good movies by him that'll make great reactions by you two are Reservoir Dogs & Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
CrashTestWalrus
+1 for From Dusk till Dawn
Manospondylus
Jackie Brown

Tien's little dance during Miserlou at the beginning had me absolutely cracking up 🤣
Looney
This was a fun reaction. Lan talking about drugs and how it would feel to rob a diner had me laughing. And then Tien and her "it's an ass watch!" And another "short gun" moment. You two are always so funny together. Tarantino (who played Jimmie in this movie) has a lot of great movies. Django Unchained and From Dusk till Dawn are good watches too.
Manospondylus
You can snort heroine. Mia OD'd because she thought it was cocaine and snorted the amount she normally would. But it was instead Vincent's very potent heroine.

I love the suspicious look Tien gives Lan when she explains that she knows nothing about drugs.😅 But I believe Lan immediately, someone who likes fries with mayo is a good person, period.😇 Basically, John Travolta became famous through dancing. The movie that gave him his breakthrough was Saturday Night Fever, a cult dance movie from the 70s. Jules' friend Jimmie was played by Quentin Tarantino himself. He has a small role in some of his movies. Even though I think you already have Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, Django Unchained and From Dusk Till Dawn on your watchlist, I still want to recommend them again just to be sure.😉 That was an awesome reaction Angels, as always.💜
Jesse
thanks for doing this one guys! really love it

I love this movie and it was a lot of fun to watch it with you. I think there was a couple of references/words you might not have understood. Vincent -Played by John Travolta - talks about doing HASH in Amsterdam. Hash is short for hashish. Hash is the concentrated resin from marijuana. You can smoke it but you can also eat it. It's commonly baked into things like Brownies. John Travolta was very popular in the 70's and 80's but fell out of favor. This was his comeback role. When Jules enters the apartment with the guys who have the briefcase, he calls one of the guys "Flock of Seagulls". This is because that guy has floppy hair like the lead singer from the band "Flock of Seagulls". See for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIpfWORQWhU Pepsi Challenge is mentioned. This was a marketing campaign in which Pepsi had people taste coke and pepsi blindly to see which one they really preferred. ERIC STOLZ. He's the red-headed drug dealer that sells Vincent Heroine. He was originally cast as the lead in BACK TO THE FUTURE. That's right. He was going to be Marty McFly, but he played the character too intensely and seriously for what the director wanted and they moved on to Michael J. Fox. WHAT'S IN THE BRIEFCASE: I think it is some religious artifact. The code to open the briefcase is 666, the mark of the devil, and a clear miracle happens in the presence of the briefcase with bullets seeming to pass through Jules and Vincent. And the guys who have the briefcase do not seem like drug dealers or thieves. Also, Jules accepts the miracle and goes on with his life a changed man, but Vincent refuses the miracle and dies. The Angels should definitely watch the rest of TARANTiNO'S movies. I think his movies just get better as he goes, and you can tell he truly loves movies.

Great reaction. A few randomly related movies come to mind. From Dusk till Dawn, Grindhouse - Planet Terror and Death Proof are also pretty good. Zombieland is a must watch. Panic in the Year Zero (1962) is also a classic which is very dark in a way that was ahead of its time.
Jef Etters
Great reaction!!! Some people believe Marcellus’ soul was in the briefcase, that’s why he has a band aid on the back of his neck, the devil sucked it out. Please do Django Unchained and Kill Bill.
Christopher Young
To make it clear, Wallace had paid to fix the fight with the Boxer (Bruce Willis), he was supposed to pretend to be knocked out in the 5th round, but the Boxer had double crossed Wallace by getting his friends to place bets on the Boxer's behalf to win the match (so giving him a very large payout, as most people believed Wallace knew who would win the fight as was betting against the Boxer).
Raymond Lee
Saw this in the theater - one of my friends who saw it later asked me “What happened to John Travolta’s character?” I was confused and asked him: “Did you watch the movie?” Apparently, he went to the bathroom during a “slow” middle part…
JessDMorgan
+ i would recommend Django Unchained. Its my favorite Movie :D
JessDMorgan
All Tarentino Movies have long crazy Dialog for character development and also awesome Music. The earlier Movies dont have too much action, but the newer ones have.
PJJR
I love how corrupt Tien has become 😈. Also, Tarantino is one of the greatest directors of all time, please check out more of his movies. Please do "From Dusk Til Dawn"
JRobbins
I would recommend watching Kiss Kiss Bang Bang starring Robert Downey JR or The Whole Nine Yards with Bruce Willis. They both are dark comedies/crime movies similar to Pulp Fiction
JRobbins
One of the coolest things Quentin Tarantino does is add little scenes into his movies that he doesn't explain. He wants people to use their imaginations so everyone can experience the movie in a slightly different way. That's why he doesn't show you whats in the brief case and all we see is the golden light. He wants you to decide what you think is in there whether it's money, gold, or something else.
Snick
would recommend the hateful eight
John-Paul
The reason Butch ran away after the fight is because Marcellus Wallace paid him to lose the fight on purpose. Butch also placed bets on himself to win the fight and he was planning on going to collect the money with his girlfriend.
BEWITCHED LAZY BOY
When Mia overdosed she snorted the heroine Vincent had. You can't snort heroin.
matthew
In Bruge (2008) is a great dark/black comedy if you like those kind of movies. "Isn't that what the Vietnamese used to say?"
matthew
I can't wait to watch this in the morning
Looney
Oh can't wait to watch this later. Great movie!
Ty and Leona
Well, I'm in
Xander
Yoooo!!! This has been on my watch list for a while now but I always forgot haha!!🤣 This is much better!👌👌 Thanks Angels!!😇
