Yeah your absolutely right that stiffness favors the overall theme and makes it easier to focus on the fashion. However you could benefit with a little injection of emotion with hands and obviously the face. I'm not trying to be critical here. In general I think you already do a good job. Take for example of this picture where her face somewhat lends you to believe she could be hiding something.

The Stiffness is usually quite intentional with these illustrations, as I try to keep the pose's rigid and boring in such a way which means I can draw interesting clothing silhouettes when possible. Granted I realise I miss the mark at times but I think I'm gradually improving. But the figures (especially faces) could still use work.

Upon further evaluation, the part that I'm mistaken as forearm is actually the other half of the large pink bow.

S/he's leaning against the wall, but admittedly I hadn't drawn her doing the thing you mentioned, so I think your mind is working a little overtime SendahLove. ;-p But in all seriousness, both hands are against the wall, one of the hands is covered by the shoulder-puff. ^_^ For this look right from the beginning my intention was for the dress to be so big that it would fill the page and the Fluffi Fashionista would be pressed into the corner. :)
