Reflecting on 0.2.8 and next steps
🕑 Added 2020-06-26 13:46:03 +0000 UTCAgain a sunny weekend ahead and now that 0.2.8 is complete I have finally some time to enjoy it ;)
The past few days the only thing on my mind was to get the update completed before the end of the month. Now there is only Kate's bonus scene left to do but I'm optimistic to get this done until tuesday.
So time to sum up about Penny's update. When I started working on it, I had some ambitious plans. On the one hand I wanted to implement the farming system and on the other hand I wanted a branched story in which the player could choose how to deal with Penny's fiance, oh, and of course animations for all outcomes. And on top of that I wanted to introduce Anya.
Well, in the middle of the month, I realized that if I wanted to do it right, I wouldn't be able to do it all at once within a single month. By right, I mean without speeding things up to an illogical point and foregoing tons of dialogue. Because of that I decided to create a break point in the middle of it where you would still have some scenes with Penny in this update but also without having everything else rushed out.
Sure, that meant I had to cut a lot of my planned content, but on the other hand, the framework for the last part of Penny's story is now in place. That said, the next time you vote to continue her story, I'm sure I can complete the entire chapter about Henry with all differnt outcomes.
Now I'm excited to finally work on Gwen's storyline. Again I have a lot planned for her and I'm not sure how deep into her story I will get within a month. Some of you might have read on the discord that I plan to rejuvenate her. That is something that will definitly happen in update 0.2.9 again with a branching storyline.

Agree, but I think that it would just be Marcus, Penny and the MC, at least in the beginning.

not really. it was known that tia was racially bullied by most of her town do to her race, and katherine is protective. to be honest i think the only people katherine can stand in the whole town do to this fact is/was marcus (do to his job he probably had a passing aquantence with her), mia (shes a good girl), rick (probably dislikes him do to being a drunk, but thats about it) penny (she hangs out in the forest she defently has a relationship with katherin, surprisingly thou tia dos not like her) and the player cherictor (he never really cared about the town, and besides for dave and giren did not dislike anyone their). the rest of the town thou she probably dispised outrite.

It also shocking Katherine doesnt like Henry because he make fun of her daughter back in the day.
