A late Friday report

it's already gotten late here, past 11pm.
My deadline for the 0.4.6.5 release was set for Wednesday. Now two days later I'm still working on it and can't find a good breakpoint.
You might wonder why I've miscalculated this badly. Usually I get the update ready with at least a small delay, I've never miscalculated by that much.
I can pin it down to 2 reasons:
The first one is my sickness last week. I played it down a bit, but in reality it slowed me down by a lot. Where I normaly work every 2nd day until 10-11pm I had to stop working at around 8pm and on some days even earlier because I wasn't feeling well and wasn't able to concentrate. A lot of medicine later it finally gotten better, although I still cough a lot.
Now this week I wanted to make good for the missed time. But it wasn't enough to make the update in time.
The second reason why this isn't complete already is because I always want the character developement to feel meaningful, and because of that I wanted to do more for Umah than just a "you're stronger than me, now I'm your wife" story. That didn't feel right so I had to think about a more realistic way to make her change her ways.
In the end this has lead to a lot more dialogue images than I originally had planned and on top a lot more dialogue between the characters.
Of course I could have now released the update with a breakpoint that is far of from the end. So the scenes aren't implemented (All images are implemented, but the dialogue for them is still missing) and the quest would stop midway just before you would see the scenes.
With no actual new scene (Except the bonus scene of course) this wouldn't feel like a good in between update.
To get to a conclusion: I have decided to fully work the next week on the content for Umah. Originally I wanted to be done with it by 0.4.6.5 and then focus on Gwen to get some first steps of her quest into the 0.4.7.0 update. But now I think that it's more important to get to a satisfying endpoint for both of Umah's story branches. I will finish one of the routes first and as soon as that is done (probably monday) I will release 0.4.6.5.
For the second route I will then take some more days. I will also work on at least 4 more animations for her. (+1 for the Dasan route which I've started to work on today). I also want to add more buildings for Rumah that you can build and that will add some new items for the MC (it's been a long time since the last bow that you could get).
Gwen's update will then be done next month. If necessary I will take a week of March on top to get everything in there that I've planned. I can't estimate how long it will take to setup the renovation. And then there is also Athia who I also want to introduce properly.
I would have preferred to get the 0.4.6.5 update done today. Infact I wanted to wait with this news post until it's done. But a rushed out and unfinished version would have served no one. So I ask you for a little more patience, I hope the result will then make up for the delay.
