A dinner with Anya

time for my weeky report on the progress of update 0.4.9.9.
The new maps are now implemented together with some new character sprites I've made over the past days. I also completed the animations for Anya which I've started to work on last month and implementd them.
The next thing I did was to work on the dinner event with Anya. There were also a few decision to make for Anya's future story. While I didn't change my original idea there was still something I wasn't 100% sure of. By thinking about it I came to the conclusion that you as the player should have a say in the MC's actions. Giving you meaningful choices is something that makes this game more interesting, so in update 0.4.9.9 you will have to make one that will influence the future story of your playthrough.
The next thing I'll be working on in the comming week is more story for Anya and of course another round of animations. After I've been thinking it through I came to the conclusion that I want to take as much time as possible to get the story part done. Because of that I will release 0.4.9.9 next Friday (24th) and then do the 0.5.0.0 release on the 30th.
Before closing this report I would like to thank SMP for doing a lot of proof reading over the past week. He went through many maps and corrected the dialogues I have written.
You will probably notice the changes in your next playthrough ;) they will be included in the 0.4.9.9 release.
The day is halfway through, but I will continue a bit longer before taking a break.

Thanks for the reply and I hope you're feeling well again. I'm actually happy knowing this decision of yours because otherwise it'd have been just too much in regard to stress and work. If you're already planning making Kirlic like that, it's impressive, and I'm looking forward to it. You've made a very nice game with a good story foundation, lots of individual stories, a fitting gameplay and a lot of erotic content. Not only that but also the music, visuals, and everything else is quite charming. Umah's sex pose / animation is one of my favorites btw :D nice job on that. I think everybody, including me, appreciates your work so far a lot, mostly because everything lines up so well. That being said, you should take it easy and work on it without scheduling yourself too much. This is one of if not the only game where I truly felt kind of a “soul” in it. I know it sounds crazy, but it's like watching a movie. Giving too much positive feedback isn't that great, so here is one negative: The cat entrance is buggy and the quest resets. Cat is justice, It's life! I hope I won't see him or her outside in the cold for too long. Speaking about that cat, knowing the setting so far it might transform into a sexy mage at some point. :D

Kirlic at least will, but some others are also meant as smaller locations. At the moment of writing this I'm not sure if I will include Varron & Parakis as major citys. The plan is to work on a sequal to this game once the story is told which will then take place in the same area a few years later. but with different locations for the story to take place at.

Not sure if this was reported, instead of +2 you only get +1 corruption from Frisha. Oh, and thanks for all the nice work up until now and for the future, Chyos. I can't wait to see the other locations in this game. Since there are so many locations on the map, does that mean they'll be like Arenfield with a bunch of characters and quests?.
