The calm after the storm

I still can't really believe that the monastery update is now finally done.
This update has been a big issue for me over the past few months. The constant delay has stressed me out a lot, so maybe you can imagine how good it feels to finally have it finished.
A few words about it before moving on: This was by far my most ambitious update yet. I was incredibly motivated from the beginning to make it live up to my own expectations. I succeeded to some extent, even though everything could have been made more detailed and some dialogues were either shortened or omitted. At a certain point, however, I really just wanted to finish. But even though I wanted to, things like the Agatha content with 3 routes and 9 animations came. Once I get into the flow of a story, it's hard to make restrictions.
However, I have now learned something from this update. If I want to avoid a similar expansion of an update in the future I have to set the planned content smaller. It probably would have been better to add the Syfa route later as an alternate story, then I could have cut all the sex scenes with Heather/Bridget/Agatha & Syfa for now and focused on Mira instead. Mira & the murder story + ritual would then have been maybe a 2 month update as I had originally planned.
This update should not be the new norm. I will try to scale down the size of the updates again in the future. On the one hand to create more variety for you and me and also to avoid a stress spiral as with this update.
Okay, so for now let's leave the monastery behind and focus on the upcoming story and plans for this month.
The image above shows what I've been working on in the past days (alongside some bugfixes for the current version). Originally I had hoped to finish the scene today, but that was as all so often too much to ask... I'm still working on the animations at the moment, so the scene will come in the coming week as soon as it's done. And after that as I've said before I will be working on Melissa's update. I hope that by the end of next week I will be able to tell you if the planned treasure hunt feature works as I imagined or if I have to change it because otherwise it won't work.
And then there is another topic: The next content poll
Originally I wanted to give you again a choice of 8 options for the content poll prevote. After all, we've now added all previous options to the poll so it's about time to add new ones.
However, this isn't that easy at the moment because many of the coming stories require one of the current options of the poll to be implemented already.
For Example: I would like to bring Frisha's story to a conclusion, but without Julia's update before that this won't be possible because the conclusion will happen after that. Same goes for Liandra, in her case we also need the Kirlic update first. And the list goes on with many other character stories in the same way. In most cases the missing implementation of Kirlic is the bottleneck.
So because of that I will cut it down to 3 options that don't rely in any way on the current options on the poll:
1. Anya: Her mother Haying is still a prisoner in Van's camp. (Depending on route so is Anya herself) It's time to sneak into the camp and free her. Or do you even need to sneak in? Maybe it's time to meet the prince and seal a deal with him.
2. Umah: It is time to end the conflict with the orcs, either by force or diplomacy. Umah has the key role in this and so has her mother. Can the orcs accept a human to become their chieftain? (This will also affect Sophie's story, who is to become the chieftains bride)
3. Imawyn: After all that has happened Imawyn wants to return to her kin. The elves live hidden behind a veil of magic and only she can open the path for you. The elves can become useful allies or deadly enemies.

I know you just said that you're leaving the monastery behind, but I'm really curious how Bridget's story will play out. Does she get married off? What happens to her child? Would be nice to have her as an official part of the harem :)

I was trying the dark path but leaving one virgin and the demon still succeeded and no one was banished or imprisoned. I thought it was suppose to still work if at least one virgin and Bridgette is still a virgin.

I don't believe there is an actual in-game reason to get to level 100. Last time I played through the game it is perfectly fine in terms of your character being able to handle every challenge thrown at it at any time. I think the hardest challenge (from memory) is doing the church quest early and having to deal with Syfa in combat - especially if you have no interest in succumbing to your lust. But maybe there are more bumps now at other points, but I know for sure there is definitely no reason to want to hit level 100. I never got past level 70 and never ran into any fight too difficult to handle. So I don't believe there is any work required on the level progression. Combat itself has also had plenty of upgrades with extra skills, extra weapons and teaching other party members more skills as well. There are a ton of different weapons and armors and support items as well that you can use that make it all even a lot smoother/easier. If we're going to try and push for a single-minded update, I'd vote for a non-corruption update! Currently we can be Athia's champion and we can go through the church as a saint and actually strengthen Mira, though it seems unlikely Mira would join the party as a cleric at any point, but who knows.. maybe! But I think it is interesting for the long run to see where the non-corruption choices lead to. You obviously deny yourself a lot of content by doing this, but it can also be very wholesome in other aspects. Or specific items only able to be used at certain alignment levels? Maybe if you do the church ritual "perfect" (in terms of non-corrupt versus corrupt) you can obtain a piece of equipment that protects against certain status ailments or such (a necklace or something small, since it's unlikely the church has like a chainmail or something big stored away). Welp, better cut myself off before I write 5 more paragraphs. Edit: I guess with the addition of the bandits that are south of Arenfield for Anya's related story you can go there very early and get yourself murdered. So that area is open "too early" in theory, since it is truly impossible to beat those specific bandits before level 10 and some minor gear upgrades. So maybe that area would need a road block of some sort. Since if you want total freedom of deciding your own route of which quest you do at what time, this particular quest chain is impossible right at the start.

i'd love to see an update focusing solely on the combat system, i felt like that could use a nice overhaul to make it more streamlined, i think it takes about 20-25 real life hours to get to lvl 100, that seems like a lot, but maybe that's just me?
