I have put most of the objects I have done or mostly done in the post pictures. There were a lot of other items that I have started but didn't include. But the amount of objects I started for this set is overwhelming so I need your feedback to help me wrap this up!
I did start a shelter that actually provided some protection from weather etc. The coding is pretty complex... I will see where I am at in a few days to see if I can include this as part of this set or as it's own thing. I also started on a begging/panhandling object & interaction but similar to the shelter it is more complex and may need to be it's own thing.
If there are any other major wants/needs that I totally missed let me know! After the descriptions below, I made a quick list of other ideas you all have suggested & asked for. Please give me all the feedback for this! Also, the kiosk is still coming which has lots of features helpful for R2R challenge such as newspapers, job postings, travel, buying/selling things etc. So keep that in mind when suggesting things :)
My goal is to wrap this up for release by this Sunday!

0. Kids Toys
Self explanatory. DIY/handmade, inexpensive, & functional toys for kids.
1. Cleaner - I showed this in the live stream. Each bottle will have 10 uses before you need to buy a new one. It can be used to clean dirty/burnt furniture that is scavenged/rummaged from dumpsters. When I finish the kiosk I will make it available for purchase from there.
2. Bathtub - It is a dirty bathtub lol! Good for bathing R2R toddlers.
3. Mailboxes - So... these are kinda painful to make. So if you all really don't care about these let me know OR let me know which option you would prefer. I know several creators have done several variations of both of these. But they were either not animation, not fully meshed, or the island living mailboxes were just converted as one unit.
The public mailbox version I will probably do either way because it is basically done. I have meshed the interior part & door so it is fully animated. Instead of a red flag indicating when mail has been delivered, there is mail sticking out of the sides of the door.
I love the island living mailboxes, but they are poorly meshed (their 3D construction). There are several versions out there, but none of them have been properly fixed with geostates (mail delivered/flags up), interior mesh completed, and animated. I started splitting off some of the mailboxes to make single mailboxes with the worn down look. I can also just mesh one of them and leave it part of a whole set. Thoughts?
4. Public Phone - This would essentially have all the options of a cell phone that can realistically be done on a public phone, but with a small cost to use. I will add a cost for traveling. It would work OTG etc.
5. Laundry Basket - Works like a dresser. I redid the inside of the basket with dirty looking clothes.
6. Misc Lighting - Public style lighting that works OTG & doesn't drain power resources.
7. Portable Stereo - Stereo functionality. Immune to weather effects (won't break in the rain). Can be put in your sim's inventory.
8. Mirror - Regular mirror in a grunge look.
9. Punching Bag - This punching bag originally cost a whopping $1600 and was only unlocked through the detective career. Some of you asked for fitness equipment so I removed the ninja stars and made it cost an appropriate amount.

Some other suggested ideas:
- Grunge wall/floor stickers
- Pet beds
- Run-down bicycle
- Sink (there are so many OTG options already, is this needed? Maybe they are too expensive?)

What I'd love to see is some sort of homeless-style bassinet for babies. Maybe like a shopping cart with a ratty blanket inside? Gotta have something for those homeless pregnant sims, right?

yea! so i worked on this for a bit! its actually quite a bit harder than i thought lol. the thing that drives me crazy is that i cant get the snow to go away underneath the dang shelters! the only way to hide the snow etc under shelters is to make a faux roof. so annoying. i might make a rug or tarp u can put down too that has the same effect as a shelter... it can hide the snow and then u can build kinda a faux shelter like under a tree etc.

If they are a hassle, I don't care about mailboxes... they are easy to hide in the corners of a lot so they are barely noticeable.

LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING. What if the Bathtub was leaky? For example, could animation from the fountains be added so it looks like there's a stream of water spurting out the side? And/or, could it create lots of puddles when used?

I think a small amount like 'practice singing'. I think to start it's around 2§ and comes up incrementally the better the voice gets? I normally give all my loose change to panhandlers so sometimes this is less or more depending on what is in my wallet at that time. Someone might be able to verify that (sorry at work atm lol). Also good news about the surgery sorry I thought she had had it - just so glad to hear she is going to soon be out of pain.

I am so so freaking pumped. I like the idea of being able to fix the stuff you fish out of dumpsters since that is more realistic. As far as ideas I’m still looking for a fan :( OTHERWISE I think it’s all great and I love the toys, so at least one of my two ideas were used. That’s amazing and I’m honored!! Tbh I don’t think mailboxes are a big deal to spend a lot of time on. As for shelter… idk that seems like a lot of work. I think a worn down cheap tent would be easier. Maybe like a blanket over a line sort of dingy vibe? Or even just a reg tent looking run down would be easier.

I think the grunge / stain wall or floor stickers are superfluous. The game has a lot and then there are other CC creators who have done a ton of them. Your time is better spent elsewhere, imo

I recently downloaded one that looks like made of trees and stones with old rope and all. Does Patreon allow me to link it? It's by Sisselin and Softpine made a recolour. And Mizoreyukii made functional brooms that probably go pretty well with the theme if one even intends to clean dust.

Also could you maybe add some "tropical" swatches to your R2R mat swatches, if possible (or make a new one)? The are some castaway/lost challenges around and I think a mat of e.g. banana leaves would be amazing. Or a more tropical look could be part 3 of R2R or a new set?

Really dingy ones, with holes in them. Like some of the ugly BG ones but with the holes and scratches for the Vampires pack integrated? Maybe you could also create a new set in the future for like a fallout/apocalypse scenario? That could include those walls (but more industrial) as well. As for the shelves - I really like individual shelves you can put above your stove/counters to decorate them. Think one slab of old and ugly looking wood, maybe driftwood from a nearby pond :D

I am not bothered by the letterbox at all so if it's a hassle then don't worry about it. I play waaaaaay too many survival games and it's the only way I enjoy sims is to play it super hard. The panhandling mod that would be ammmmmazing! I know it's a lot of work, so if not then my poor tone deaf sims can just keep hurting people's ears with 'practice singing' :p lovely to have you back :) how's the pupper's recovery?

This looks so great! I don't really care about mailboxes or toys to be honest, because by the time my sims are ready to have kids the R2R part of the challenge is usually over and they have enough money. I would like to see floors/wallpaper and I would LOVE a shack or something like that. Or even a torn/dirty tent. Maybe an easel and a few shelves to display frogs, crystals etc. but I suppose the set would be too large then? Thank you for all your hard work, your CC and mods are always amazing. <3

personally I would prefer the island living mailboxes left as a whole set with just 1 of them animated - I use the debug ones all the time with a real mailbox tacked onto the end so I feel like the set would be a more unique addition. but if you release the separated one, I'll just use it the same way and it'll blend in better, so I guess either way works! ☺
