Update & WIP & Livestreams & Life
🕑 Added 2022-11-26 18:00:05 +0000 UTCI recorded a more personal video for you all so I could talk intimately about where I am at and life in general... but I got a cat. And he got in the way... however, his presence was much more positive/hilarious and I hope he can lift your spirits for a moment so I ended up posting this instead. Hopefully I get the courage to post the rest of the video for you all, but until then I wrote it out in my signature novel-style.
Anywayssss... I have been in a funk (if you didn't notice) and I have a bad habit of isolating myself when I am sad which makes my world get smaller. This community has meant everything to me during these past few years and especially in 2022. Your support and love has, without a doubt, kept my head above water. It is a weird place to be in when you are so connected with a global community, yet feeling so alone.
In all honesty, I have been debating whether or not to stop creating CC and go back into my professional field of electrical engineering. There has been no greater joy, privilege, honor, and humbleness than creating CC for this community. At the same time, the immense pressure, job/income instability, and responsibility has weighed on me.
I want nothing more than to continue doing this because the reward of interacting with this community and even making one person happy outweighs all of the added pressures. So I have decided to stick with Ravasheen instead of going back to my engineering career. Managing all of this is still new to me and is a learning process... that being said, if you no longer want to support I fully & wholly understand.
I strive to grow and improve everyday. Even though I am going through some life changes, I am actively working on creating new/exciting mods and improving my communication with you all. I don't do a great job of showing you all what I have been working on, and how much you all mean to me, so I am going to fix that.
In full transparency, I hardly make any revenue from streaming on either Twitch or YouTube (~$10/month). I genuinely stream only because I love chatting with you all real-time and building connections to simmers. I mention this because I want to be clear with you all of what my intentions are and that me livestreaming is not a financial motivator - it is purely to connect with you.
I spend most of my days completely by myself in my office and will take every opportunity for human connection... this is almost only an option during the weekends. To meet my goal of creating a better connection with you all and allowing myself to build/maintain my IRL relationships, I am going to move my livestreams to every Tuesday at 5 PM MT. This is hard because I know weekends work best for the majority of you, but I need to be realistic about what I can commit to. I know this doesn't work with everyone, but I hope this will improve my communication with all of you even if you can't tune in real time.
I want you all to know that I love you so much. I am so grateful for each and every one of you, and that I am working to be better everyday. Thanks for being you and showing me, and this community, so much love.
Can't wait to chat with you on Tuesday... see you then!

You have now totally won my heart :) I *adore* cats and dogs both, though I couldn't get my first cat till I got married the first time (Mom was allergic). Give it time, he'll love you so much, and it will be the most amazing thing :) We lost our mini-panther unexpectedly in 2011, and miss him so very much. Long story short, he made us go to the pound (Yes, I feel him all the time), and we adopted a tuxie that I swear he picked for us! This cat rolled over for belly rubs almost the instant we got home, and he and our dog adore each other! Jelly was our first foster and was adopted by Pepper :) Please consider adopting another kitten his age, it's so much fun watching them play and love each other :)
