Kiss Of Fresh - Hidden Lot Modifier

There was an issue with this that made Nisa's Lot Extender user interface not show up. This has been fixed thanks to help from my friend Basemental Mods who helped me figure out what was causing the problem. I have a small mini-mod for you today! Similar to Llamazon, I started making this as part of the Retail Therapy 2.0 update (more on that at the end) but thought it was deserving of its own release!
O V E R V I E W
This is a hidden lot modifier - which means it won't take up one of the user-facing lot traits you can choose. All you need to do is simply place it on your lot and the 'Kiss of Fresh' modifier is applied to all the consumables & flower arrangements on that lot! (Note: consumables are anything that can be consumed - food, drinks, ingredients, fish, & similar.)
So what exactly does it do? I'm glad you asked. The 'Kiss of Fresh' lot modifier will:
- Make spoiled consumables fresh - just as if they were just made or purchased
- Locks freshness decay so consumables stay fresh forever
- Prevent floral arrangements from wilting
I thought this would be perfect to use for lots you want to set up as a shop or display! Or, for my cheaters out there, this is also great for everyday use.
N O T E S
This is probably one of the most simple mini-mods I have made thus far, but as is tradition here are the overexplained notes (you didn't think you would get off that easy did you??).
- Base game compatible
- This is not an override, it should not have any mod conflicts*
- No lot or venue restrictions
- Hidden modifier is applied immediately after placing the sign on a lot
- Modifier stays in effect until the sign is removed from the lot
- The modifier will refresh & lock when you first add it and anytime you load the game/lot
- If you place consumables after the modifier is placed, you will need to reload that lot in order to see the changes (but don't worry, it resets the freshness anyways as if no time had passed)
- The sign is visible in build/buy mode and hidden in live mode
- Must be placed outside
- Find it in lawn ornaments or by searching 'sign', 'modifier', 'fresh', or 'zone'
- This will not have any effect on items that are in an inventory, but you can always place the items on your lot to have them refreshed and then put back in your inventories afterwards
*There are some mods out there that prevent freshness decay by overriding EA's tuning. If you have any of these, this modifier will not have any impact for basic freshness. If you want to use this mod, delete any that override EA's freshness tuning. This will also give you more options to control freshness decay by lot and not the game as a whole.

I cannot wait to show you how far I have gotten with the Retail Therapy 2.0.... which I really need a new name for it because at this point it is not an update but its own glorious mod. The new version incorporates all of the feedback you have given me recently andddddd it is no longer restricted to my shelves OR the OMSP+. You can set literally and surface to sell from.

I'm having the same problem. I think it started with the latest 'big' patch. Everything is spoiling again. I replaced all the signs but it didn't help. Question - do you need the sign and the lot trait? Update: it seems to be working on my current lot. It didn't on my 'big farm' lot. I'll test it again. Love your work! No, it's not working.

i have been working on this! unfortunatly they are set in a weird way which basically overwrites itself with every load. but im seeing what i can do!

Ok, I’ve been using this all week. It works great as long as the item isn’t in an inventory or a hoarder box that’s not meant for fresh save, like the shelves. Is that right? Cause I’m using so many mods I wanted to make sure.

hmm... did you reload the lot? it should refresh items, set them to max freshness, & lock decay everytime you load the lot/game. did you get the notification when you placed the sign telling you the freshness mod was enabled? can you go back into BB mode and verify the sign is still there?

Thanks for looking into it! I am a first-class cheater and would love to use both mods. When I have this mod in and click on LTE, it just pauses my game and no pop-up happens. I tried experimenting to see what else could be causing it but removing this mod is the only thing that has made LTE work again

This is incredible! Unfortunately, I rely too heavily on Nisa's Lot Trait Extender in my games and it doesn't work with this mod installed. It would be fab if a stand alone lot trait could be added in the future for us lot trait micromanagers ♥
