Layla’s heels clicked as she entered the otherwise silent restaurant. With no lights on and no other sounds, she assumed no one else had arrived yet. After all, it was 5:30 in the morning which was early for anyone to be there. She arrived early so that she would have plenty of time to change into her uniform before her shift started. The lights buzzed to life as she flipped the switch on her way to the bathroom.
When she swung open the door there was a gasp from the far corner where her coworker, Bethany, was in the middle of changing into her uniform. Layla jumped and stumbled backwards on all four of her legs when she discovered she wasn’t alone after all.
“Ever hear of saying ‘hi’ to let a girl know she’s not alone?” Bethany said as she tried to smooth out her top over her three breasts.
Layla looked a little dumbfounded. “All the lights were off! How was I supposed to know anyone was here? Besides, the lights coming on should have let you know someone had arrived.”
“Why would I turn the lights on? I can see perfectly well in the dark,” Bethany replied and stalked to her locker, her ears and tail twitching in slight irritation.
“Sometimes I forget you merged with a cat,” Layla said.
“Hey, I don’t have any cat genes,” Bethany said and slammed her locker shut, “It’s just how I mutated. Did you fuse with a horse?”
Layla grabbed her uniform and headed into the bathroom to change. She had to admit her four slender legs, extra pair of breasts on her lower torso, tail, and horse ears probably made other people think that’s what happened. “No. My parents are normies and this is just how I was born. Speaking of your family though, is your sister coming to work today?” Layla emerged from the bathroom moments later, fully changed. Despite the shape of her body it never took her long to get ready.
“Yeah, I just took a shortcut over the housetops, so I got here a lot quicker than she did.” Bethany couldn’t even pretend to hold a straight face when she saw Layla’s reaction and busted out laughing. “I’m joking, I'm joking! She just takes a lot longer in the shower because of her fur, so I came on ahead. She said she’d be here shortly.”
As if on cue Hanna came bounding through the front doors, her singsong voice easily reaching them in the back of the restaurant. “I’m heeeeere!” she said, “Oh, hey Layla. Hey Bethany!”
“Hey, long time no see sis,” Bethany said. Layla waved with one of her hands.
Hanna quickly grabbed her uniform and made for the bathroom to get changed as well. “Oh, come on, I didn’t take that long, did I?” she called from behind the closed door.
Hanna looked similar to Bethany with four arms and three breasts all of similar size. Where they differed though is that Hanna had a short tail and long ears as well as a few other rabbit like features.
Just as Hanna finished changing, the remaining three servers walked in the front door. They all waved at each other and offered warm smiles. “Hey there,” Rae said.
Her conjoined sister, Juliet, continued. “We ran into Mica on our way here.”
Mica waved a tentacle and said shyly, “H-hello.”
Not far behind them was their boss, a large mutant with a thick tail, four breasts and four eyes. The two main chefs of the place were right behind her. Within moments everyone was ready, and the open sign was flipped.
Layla noticed the way Mica watched the twins change. It looked like there was something that she’d been wanting to say, but didn’t have a chance to as the twins sped up to the front of the restaurant as soon as they were ready.
“Is everything ok, Mica?” Layla asked gently.
Mica looked down at her own body, tentacles stuck out in front of her. She was easily the most extreme mutant there with two heads and one giant eye and side pigtails on each. Her two rows of breasts had won her the restaurant’s unofficial size competition not too long ago. Plus, there were the tentacle-like arms and four spider-like legs that gave her an almost alien appearance. When she’d started work at the Multi Taste she’d just had four beautiful breasts, but last year she underwent a second mutation that resulted in her current appearance. Understandably she’d taken several months off to recover and adjust, and had only begun working again a few weeks ago. Even when the control of her body improved drastically, her self-esteem was still low and her shyness wasn’t helping.
“It’s just that…I heard Rae and Juliet had started dating this really handsome guy,” Mica said in a small voice with her right head.
Layla offered a warm smile. “I’m not surprised. All the customers love them. Though that does explain why they are so happy recently.”
Mica didn’t look up and instead kept her two large eyes fixed on the floor. “Ever since my mutation I’ve had a hard time with guys…”
Bethany looked shocked. “Wow you’ve already tried dating since then?”
Mica blushed and shook both of her heads. “N-no, not exactly. But I know I’ve lost my chances with the guy I like.”
“What makes you think that?” Layla asked gently.
“I mean look at me! I’m a lot and a lot of people find me to be too much.” Mica waved her tentacles around to indicate her own body. “I don’t even know if Larry likes mutants…”
Bethany’s mouth fell open in shock while Layla rubbed Mica’s back to offer the girl some comfort “Don’t say that! You’re gorgeous! You have beautiful faces and better legs than I could ever have-…” she said until Bethany cut her off mid-sentence “You said Larry. Do you mean Larry Clinton?”
Both of Mica’s faces turned a deep shade of crimson “Y-yeah. He’s one of our regulars and I always think he’s so cute whenever he comes in. And he’s really nice, too.”
Bethany chuckled “Larry is my best friend! So, you have a crush on him, huh?”
Mica’s heart rate spiked as she waved her tentacles in a sort of surrender manner. “I’m sorry! I'm not trying to step on your toes with him or anything”
“Nah, you’re good. I’m gay and he knows that. But he is a total mutant nerd. There’s a reason he comes here every day you know, and it’s not to see me. I’m surprised he hasn’t been seated in your section before.”
“Heh, well I’m in the kitchen most of the time so it’s not like there’s been a lot of opportunity for that.”
Bethany had to admit that Mica had a point there. “I know him well, you know. Do you know what his favorite kind of mutation is?” She continued when Mica shook both of her heads ‘no’. “Multiple heads. Drives him wild.”
“Ooooh sounds like you have a shot after all,” Layla said excitedly.
“That sounds perfect,” Hanna chimed in. She’d been absorbed in her phone and had only partly paid attention to the conversation her friends were having.
“And you realize you’re the only two headed mutant here, right?” Bethany added, “He’s definitely coming here to see you. Actually, I have an idea.” Her smile was a devious one, but Mica was excited nonetheless.
About forty minutes later, Larry walked into the restaurant and was seated at a table near the main window. He scrolled on his phone while he waited to order his usual breakfast. Mica took a deep breath as her friends practically pushed her out of the kitchen to go take his order.
Layla, Bethany, Juliet and Rae crowded around the window in the kitchen door to watch everything that happened.
“Hi there, welcome to Multi Taste…” Mica said shyly with her right head. She swore Larry’s eyes sparkled when he looked up at her. “My name is Mica. What can I get for you today?” her left head continued. She gestured to herself with one of her tentacles, which wound up looking a little more erotic than she actually meant for it to.
“O-oh, hi! I just want some coffee and toast…” Larry stammered. He couldn’t help noticing the way her right head maintained eye contact while her left head looked down at the notepad she was writing his order on.
“Perfect! Can I get you anything else?” her right head said. Meanwhile her left head flicked a little to the side to push her hair back behind her shoulders. Bethany had instructed her to use her two heads independently of each other as much as possible, and she was doing her best to follow that.
Larry’s eyes were fixed on Mica, unable to look away. “Wow…”
Mica blushed a little. “Wow?” she asked with both heads.
“Oh, s-sorry,” Larry said and looked away. It was his turn to blush. “I don’t want to order anything else…”
“Did…I do something to bother you?” Mica asked, trying not to let the sadness creep into her voice.
“What? No!” Larry said and turned to face her again, “I’m sorry, I’m not very good with words. I’ve seen you around here before, but don’t believe we’ve met. You said your name is Mica, right? A-and you’re just one person?”
“Yep! I’ve only had two heads for about a year, so I’m a little clumsy with them sometimes. I only have one consciousness between them so I try to spend time everyday using my heads independently of each other,” Mica explained. She was trying to stick as close to Bethany’s instructions as much as possible.
Larry swallowed hard. “Th-that’s great! You definitely have a unique and sensual look.” He tried to keep his eyes from looking her up and down like some hungry normie, but it felt impossible.
“Thank you!” both of Mica’s heads said, “Your breakfast will be out shortly,” her right head finished. She turned as calmly as she could and headed back to the kitchen.
All of her friends were giggling excitedly as she breezed through the door. “Well, it certainly looks like things went well,” Layla said with a giant smile.
“Of course it did, she listened to me after all,” Bethany teased, “I guarantee Larry won’t be able to stop thinking about you.”
Mica blushed heavily as she leaned back against the wall and slid down it ‘til all of her legs were splayed all around her. “Guys he said he thought I was sensual and that I look good…!” She covered both her mouths with her tentacles and let out a small yelp of happiness.
“Everything OK in here? I thought I heard someone scream.” Their boss had poked her head into the kitchen curiously.
“Yep, everything is fine. Mica just tripped is all,” Hanna quickly replied.
“Alright. Just be careful. And don’t dawdle too long, we have a restaurant full of people waiting on their food.” With that their boss disappeared, heading back up front and leaving them alone again.
Once they were all sure she was gone Bethany turned back to Mica. “Ok so clearly you have to be the one to take his order everyday. Trust me, he’ll be eating out of your hands in no time.”
Mica stood up with a big smile. “Thanks girls, I’ll try my best.”

This story touches on ideas I always wonder about in the Accessverse. In order to admit am attraction to mutants, one would have to admit, on some social level, to being a weirdo, mutant-attracted pervert. Y'know, one of us :D From that point of view I do think the story is a little naive; I think all the girls must know the motivations of a clientele of a restaurant staffed by mutants in tight, revealing clothes... "Oh, I don't know if Larry is even into mutants!" does seem a little too oblivious. That aside, and accepting the premise that Larry, like the rest of the customers is a polite, respectful pervert (as much as he can be while barely managing to keep the slightest composure in the presence of one attractive lady, let alone a room full of gorgeous mutant servers) I am definitely intrigued by the premise of a young mutant flaunting the assets that she knows will most entice her target. I don't think it's a particularly strong basis for a long term relationship, but I do expect the two of them are likely to have a very pleasant few encounters with each other before that even might potentially become an issue. As a concept, I think I would definitely enjoy it if this would evolve into a short series (of diaries!) about Mica and Larry starting an extremely physical-based relationship vs discovering whether that can launch into something deeper, or whether they end up separating and Mica ends up finding someone with a less active interest in her appearance and more interest in her as a person, perhaps... Or however things shake out between them. Anyway, it's a very enjoyable story as always. Thank you, team!
