When you finish The thick of it, you should try Veep. The political setup will be more familiar to you and the insults can be just as creative. Jeff Kane played by Peter Macnicol is close to Malcom Tucker in his language and anger.
Bruce Bowden
Hey, Boomer. Armando also wrote the American version of this show, "Veep." I don't think many of your fans would object to you reacting to one American show if the creator was British.

True, The Fucker's few lines of dialogue are textbook 'leave them wanting more'. Sad this classic line ended up in the deleted scenes: "Remember, this government is like going out with Madonna: at first you think, 'Result'; now we wake up every morning to see an increasingly crazed, craggy-faced egomaniac who jumps on every fucking passing bandwagon."
Yaapsdad
It wasn't countess, it was cuntess
Yaapsdad
One of the best episodes. Just amazing
Mark Fraser
I agree on using these characters sporadically, but I was always disappointed The Fucker is built up to be the Opposition’s unhinged equivalent to Malcolm, then is gone before actually doing anything. I’m sure that’s more on Tom Hollander’s availability though.
Will
I did know the word, but I like your mishearing of it. :D

This one features one of my all-time favourite quotes from the show: "we're getting fucked consistently and repeatedly like a horse in the fucking Hebrides"
Joe Thornhill
What the fuck did Malcolm say at 4:35? "Is the diligent cunt receiving"? I feel like he said "Countess", but it must've been "Cunt" to make you laugh so hard. EDIT: Had to find the episode on 123chill. it was "Dowager countess receiving". Never heard of the word Dowager.
Joe Thornhill
Actually, this Vimeo player is better, because you can actually control the quality and it rewinds & fast-forwards less, so you don't have to watch an entire scene again just to hear one word.

Check the Movie Reaction collection page it's in there.

Like Caligula's favourite watermelon. 😂 Shout out for epic Ancient Rome historical drama 'I, Claudius'. Stars Brian Blessed as Augustus, John Hurt as Caligula, Derek Jacobi as Claudius, Patrick Stewart as Sejanus and many more superb actors. It's around 11 hours long over 10 episodes (if I recall correctly). I might have watched it over 20 times. Would watch it here again.
Henry Graham
KB, have you seen The Death of Stalin? It's another terrific Iannucci comedy about political manoeuvring and backstabbing and it might help to fill the void after The Thick of It has finished.
AdamMcAdamface
Watched this many times, and before your reaction the reference to "Caligula's favourite watermelon" went completely over my head! (I was aware he was a Roman emperor, but didn't realise how fucking freaky he was). Thanks KB!

Worked good KB, no problem at all.

You've made it to the business end, i'm excited for you - i've been looking forward to the reactions for the last 3 episodes, pure genius awaits...
Michael
All good here...

Vimeo link worked fine, but I had no idea Patreon limits storage.

This show is really in depth and complex about the politics. One of the joys of watching it multiple times is you start to understand more and more what’s actually going on and you learn more about the mechanics of British parliament in general. I credit this show with raising my awareness of politics a lot whilst also being one of the most well written and performed comedies ever made. The linked video worked fine for me.

worked okay then stopped, I had to come out Patreon and refresh completely but then worked fine, so if anyone has same issue - Good episode & reaction that, you have a one hr special coming up soon Boomer, think it's episode 6, but its the enquiry episode
Matthew
Titter titter.. coy look lol... 🫢🎠
Flemish Giant
Worked fine on my tablet, though it did lag a couple of times. John Duggan (or JD, he's rebranded) is one of the show's greatest side characters, Miles Jupp is usually a guarantee for comedy gold. Although much like Tom Hollander as The Fucker, it's probably wise he was used so sporadically - having him in each episode would likely make him insufferable.
D R
Managed to get it, thanks all 🥰🥰 Def prefer casting from here but got it in the end 😅😅 lol
Mark Wootton
All good for me too! And thanks for another outstanding reaction. Malcolm definitely on form in this one.
Luke Barton
Malcolm was completely bullshitting big Ben when he admitted to being “outmanoeuvred by a player” just playing to his ego. Malcolm’s moves are generally always way ahead
rtkeane
needed this tonight thanks KB
rtkeane
need to make sure the tv and phone are on same wifi network or connected via bluetooth...
South Coast Rich
Miles Jupp has been really funny on his rare appearances on this programme.

Hard Cap. I asked for more last year and they gave it to me but said next time I’ll have to embed the videos.
Bisonhead
I’ll be sad when it’s over as well. I’ve loved watching your reactions to this, I remember being as amazed as you have been at the skill the writers have to deal with so many emotions from the characters at the same time. The reactions you did with hrh queen boomer for father ted were fantastic…this is next level…I would ask you both the do a re-watch but I think she might find it a bit too cruel! 😁
Owen Rhodes
Can you buy more storage or is it a hard cap?
Jonny Dade
Took me a moment to figure out how to go full screen on the mobile app. If anyone is struggling, press the arrow next to the V in the bottom corner. There's more options there.
Jason Scade
Playing fine on the Patreon app and on my PC. 👍
Kevin Liversage
4th icon from the right (next to the cog), click that and select your TV. I just tried it and it worked for me.
D R
What a legend 🥰
Brian Moran
Can somebody help D R with this one please? I would but I have never casted anything to my TV before because I'm an uncivilized muppet.
Bryter
I always use the embedded, it’s always worked - just as this one does
Dave Williams
Works for me!
Neal Murdoch
Perfectly fine.
D R
Working fine but can't see how to cast it to the tv from my phone lol
James Ellison
Working fine for me on my iPad
Ewan Dunn
Yep I’ve no bother viewing it 👍
electricduckpond
Working fine for me boomer!
