As somoene who used to work in tourisim in Donegal I promise you if you turn up speaking Irish most people will be like "Oh thats nice" and continue the conversation in English. Even in the areas on that map marked dark green (I live in one) you generally wont hear it spoken outside of conversations with close friends/family
