Yoiks!!! I love that movie, didn't know about the author though. Went to the whistle stop cafe in Juliette Ga where the "Old" town set was. Was shortly after theov8e came out and so had long waiting list but after 3 hours I and my group day down to a wonderful albeit great lunch that included fried green tomatoes. And from what I have heard the town hosts varius fairs and festivals as well. Thanks for informing me Venus.

I know her because she is the author of the novel "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe." The movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" is based on that novel.

Ok, Fannie Flagg is not so well known to me. I think she was published round the 60s or 70s and although I heard about it as controversial writing I never read her. Ergo... Who is Flannie Flagg?
