Thank you! In the original text I always wrote 'that' in sentences like 'I like that Emma...' but some said I could omit it. In this case I omitted it to avoid repeating the word 'that' twice in the same sentence.

If I may say, at the third time after Emma Gaby thinks " I like Emma remembers that" to my thinking could be done as " I like that Emma remembers that" if I may add my 2 cents. Great story with a lot of twists and turns and... Um... U-turns ???
