It's so beautiful

I was driving home yesterday after the storm had passed, and the haze in the air and the angle and height of the sun made it perfect to look at with sunglasses. I didn’t do it for long, of course, but it was a rare chance to stare into the face of primal creation. It was the same color of the lowest point in the horizon here. Just…/full./ Hard to describe. It felt sacred. Some mornings feel like that. Quiet, still, unlived. The world waits to begin. The dogs haven’t stirred, the birds are asleep, the ratrace hasn’t kicked off yet, and one can center themselves and face inward, face the wrongs and rights of their life without judging. It ends all the quickly, but you dare not speak out loud until the moment’s past. It’s - in a word - rare..

I think this comic will have that painterly look I've been doing with the Vicksburg studies. More interested in getting colors correct rather than a wall of detail, but we will see!
