🕑 Added 2025-10-07 16:40:53 +0000 UTCToday I dropped my 14 Pro and it just broke. The tape connecting the screen broke, althought surprisingly the screen is not shattered :O But it is unusable now, i cant access my phone and the guy said that a new screen will cost me over 1000 PLN + repair. I have decided it's not worth trying to save it, spending 1k on a screen is just pointless.
I am on the lookout for the base 17 model (i just cannot justify the price of the Pro) and I have to wait until they are available at my carrier. Wish me luck, hopefully I will manage to get it within this week :(
I loved my 14 Pro. I really wanted to keep it because I just couldn't see me justyfing buying a new model. It was a GREAT phone, definitely one of the best models out there.
For the first time in my life I actually DIDN'T wanna buy a new model because I really didn't need it. Am I getting old?

yeah, it's hard to justify newer models, especially if you're coming from a phone thats been out a year before

Sorry to hear about your phone 😭 You did good job trying to fix it! The newest iPhones don’t seem crazy exciting so I don’t feel the urge to get one.

honestly it gets to a point where the only *new* thing about new phones is the increased price and marginal improvements that don't justify the price
