Broken Hearts. Mended Lives Chapter 10

So now she was just laying on the couch with me all snuggled up with her legs kicking back and forth as she burnt the sugar rush away as we watched a pirated movie on the equilvalent of Youtube on our tv.
But thankfully after this week plus after running into that vampire my legs were as good as new if not stronger due to chakra's effects in accelerating healing helping a body naturally strengthen itself.
A series of knocking on our door, however, made Hinata and I still with us sharing a look before we both shook our head and just relaxed waiting for whoever was at the door to leave.
But the knocking continued... The knocking continued for a solid ten minutes of every couple of minutes there would be a respectful triple tap of knuckles on the door along with the doorbell being rung.
"I paid the bills... Who the hell is it?" I muttered with a growl of annoyance before I took a breath as I knew should it have been Shield, Hydra, or some other major organization. They would just kick my door down and be done with it. Though... They would be in for a very rude surprise when Hinata's five paper bombs go off like a block of C4 to their face.
"Be good and stay." I whispered to Hinata as I squeezed my arms around her making her blink those lovely lavender eyes at me as she bit her lower lip and nodded.
I got up from the couch and I stoked my chakra as I began working my internal chakra to form a Water Bullet Jutsu from within myself in preparation.
Going to the door I looked through the one-way peep hole and my face twisted in confusion at what I saw.
"Slutty nuns or Jehova's Witnesses???" I said as I got out of the peephole, rubbed my eyes and yup there was two ladies wearing weird perverted looking nun outfits that exposed their thighs with pencil skirts and short-cut tops that exposed the tops of their cleavage and had thin veils that covered their stomachs only vaguely.
For a long moment, I was confused as shit but then one of the ladies then knocked on the door with a patient smile making me lean back as her knuckles made a resounding series of tapping noises on my door.
A moment later I took a breath as this was... Weird to say the least and knowing they somehow knew we were here and just avoiding them. We couldn't avoid their presence with their mystical Jehova Witness powers of knowing when people were trying to avoid them, so I decided to just see what they wanted.
Unlocking the door and pulling back the door wedge I opened the door with a plain expression crossing my face as I looked down at the shorter two women. "May I help you?" I asked simply.
The ladies were both rather beautiful with them both having long golden blond hair but they both had very different Nordic, maybe Swedish features but their eyes were both dark shades of red which made me wonder if they had some Albino in their blood with how light blond their hair was.
But regardless of my clearly uninterested expression, the leader of the two took a step forward with a pep in her step that made her breasts bounce in the mockery of a nun outfit she was wearing. "Hello Jake Bariss, I was told you haven't been to the office for a long while so you didn't know. But this apartment complex regularly comes together for cookouts and another social gathering with the Saint Micheal's Church of Kindness."
My face twitched as I certainly stayed away from the office as I had to bribe the damned secretaries to keep our names off the fucking books. But before I could calmly deny any desire to get together for any social gatherings the other woman who had a more demure appearance spoke up with a gentle tone.
"We do not want to pressure you Jake. Our church is established to helping those that may need a bit of help in trying times, we are not coming to harp at you just offer you a safe space if you wish to speak of your thoughts to god."
The sheer kindness and acceptance in her voice made me hesitate to slam my door in their faces to say nothing of... Hot girl in a lewd nun outfit that seemed to wear them naturally. But either way before I could respond the leading lady spoke more enthusiastically.
"Indeed, my name is Annika and my friend here is Elsa... Yes she hates her name now as with our light blond hair little girls always ask if she can make an ice castle hehehe." She whispered loudly while giggling with her hand covering half her face making Elsa look at her friend in some anger while I couldn't help a small chuckle at the thought.
I nodded and Elsa with an amused snort then took out a folded pamphlet from between her bosom making me blink at the sight with her smiling and offering the pamphlet to me with both hands respectfully.
"Here you go Jake. This is our plans for the month and any programs we have going for charity if you have any need for any help or know of anyone who needs a helping hand... Though if you don't mind, could we come in and speak more on this? We have cookies and drinks!?"
As though to taunt me with the treats I saw Annika shaking the walmart bag filled with goodies with a good-natured smile at me.
But I had to shake my head with a wry smile as I said frankly as I rubbed my stomach. "I am sorry but I literally just ate like three hot fresh out of the oven cinnamon rolls. I am stuffed on sweets for the next few days at the very least."
Without losing the smile Annika took a small step forward and offered the bag to me just outside of the doorframe of the apartment. "Then just take this is a welcoming gift from the our saint and angel Micheal."
Giving a wry smile I knew they were just trying to be kind even if they were wearing weird outfits... But hell for all I knew Marvel women could just naturally be predisposed to wearing weird clothes as everyone seemed to run around in their lingerie or some kind of leather if you looked at X-men. And hell there were dozens of videos of the Hulk getting caught during his chases flashing his donger as his pants didn't survive the transition.
I took the bag while thinking to myself that I needed to stuff it in a closet wrapped up in aluminum foil to dim any signals and any possible sound recorders before I could get rid of it properly. But as I took the bag Annika shivered slightly and said with a bit of a sheepish expression.
"Jake can I step into the hallway to give you and my sister's number so you can text us. The winds are super cold today."
For all that I was being stupidly paranoid having run into a werewolf and having government, or other terrorist organizations possibly going after me... I for a split moment considered letting them in as it was indeed fucking cold as Boston during the late Fall was notorious for its biting winds.
But as I looked at the two I wondered. 'Why are they so worried about the cold when they knowingly run around in outfits like that?'
So I smiled and said disarmingly. "Afraid I can't do that Annika. I got a lovely lady inside and I don't think she would appreciate me bringing another lady into our home."
Annika tittered with Elsa giving a small giggle as they shared a look before sighing good-naturedly. "Very well Jake, then could you at least follow us to my car so I can get out of the wind. You did make us wait out in the cold after all."
Hearing that I raised my hands in surrender and said with a bit louder. "Alright alright, I will leave my cave for a minute. I can at least escort you two, to your car." So that Hinata could hear me.
And as I put on my slip-on shoes I crossed the thresh hold of my apartment and closer to the two ladies. I felt a chill in my bones as their crimson eyes locked onto my form and I realized something as I got closer to them.
'They don't have a scent.' I thought as I enhanced my body with chakra to sharpen my senses.
I stilled with both of the ladies stopping as they were preparing to turn around as well. "Actually, I think I should go back inside. I am sorry but it's entirely too cold for a Southern boy like me haha." I joked as took a couple of steps backward into my apartment without turning around in the slightest.
Both ladies shared a look and then Elsa said with a pout. "What gave it away? You aren't even getting any relief from that girl and we are wearing these outfits."
For a long moment, I mentally reviewed our prior meeting and after sorting it out, their eyes, and that weird interaction as they tried to enter my apartment and would only hand things out just beyond the apartment's door boundary. I realized what they were.
"Your eyes... Though I am very curious as to how a vampire can wear a fucking cross over their neck." I said guardedly as I dissolved the water jutsu forming inside of me and instead formed a flamethrower jutsu as I knew Vampires were extremely weak to fire.
And as to how a couple of Vampires were running around in the middle of the fucking day. Welcome to constantly cloudy Boston weather that could put the UK to shame.
Not a damned lick of sunlight streaming through the dark clouds hanging over our heads that dyed the world in a grey twilight.
The two vampires held out their hands in surrender as they both took a step back as Annika said with some panic. "Jake, please calm down. We are honestly part of this church, and we run a blood drive to help vampires remain vegan as we help people down on their luck in exchange for blood. We wanted to offer a good deal of money for your blood that... Frankly reeks of magic. It has even called other more feral vampires and werewolves to this area but we have been keeping humans safe!"
I froze hearing that and Hinata who had gotten up to see what was going on quietly said behind me. "You have been leaving Chakra emissions everywhere darling. You cycle through a jonin's worth of Chakra every day and that does leave traces."
'Fuck... Fuckity fuck fuck! I don't want to trust them. But if I been spraying monster fucking bait everywhere I need to know and do something about that. And if they have been dealing with my own screw-up and protecting humanity while drinking donated blood, I can't just burn them alive for that either.'
But the problem was whether they were speaking the truth, or whether they were just filled with shit.
Wanting more time to think I still asked guardedly. "That doesn't explain how you are wearing a cross over your neck?"
Elsa snorted with her eyes staring into mine as she answered frankly. "We were born in the northern reaches of Sweden two hundred years ago, and we grew up following the Norse path. Religious icons different from the ones we followed in life do not harm us as we hold no religious fervor for these." She said picking up the cross with her hand and I could see how it didn't burn or melt her flesh like candle wax under a heavy flame.

Can you show a scene where a Jake destroys kumo for what they do to Hinata. Cause any Jake with any version of Hinata as his wife, will destroy them with absolute savagery if they hear what they did to her.

Was reading the wiki on them, 3 of the twelve clans fit the bill(more than others). One is for hot women vampires with powers of seduction(Siren Sect), one is for business type American vampires good with tech(Mystikos Sect), and the last are American rural outcasts that like to remain hidden and live in peace, similar to the Amish(Anchorite Sect). Anchorite seems to fit the bill as they approached peacefully, didn't hire someone with money to break in, didn't try much, if at all, in the way of seduction(aside from their outfits), hard to remain hidden and peaceful when more feral individuals start moving in to the area which would prompt them to reach out, and lastly are American and while sects are not specifically mentioned being in America they would most likely be in their country of origin in my opinion.

that would actually make more sense for vampire lore. a vampire that wasn't raise around one of the Abrahamic faiths wouldn't be affected by touching a cross, but they would if a person like that held a cross out towards them. i think even a vampire who was an atheist would be affected though, because most proclaimed atheist seem to come from families that are hyper Christians, you know the type who shove their religion into everyone's face.
