Villainess Correction Officer Chapter 5
🕑 Added 2024-05-13 07:05:35 +0000 UTCThe very first thing I did when we got out of the city and into the kingdom surrounding forest that was known for having very weak monsters was simple. Using the Adventurer Guild and my own minimap's abilities I picked out small groups of weak as-hell monsters like flesh-eating balloons and monster rats to test out the five girls' combat capabilities.
Malty was one of the two truly competent fighters out of the five 'companions' I received from King Aultcray. Her skill lied in using some amount of cunning plus cruelty to cripple monsters allowing her an easy kill with her short sword and the lesser fire magic she preferred to run with.
Elena Haven, was a gem in the rough as she clearly had combat training aimed at killing humans and beastmen. But that combat skill rapidly transferred over with her thin enchanted rapier her father gave her carving through monsters just as easily as human flesh with her casting weaker wind spells like wind blades and a powerful gust of wind if monsters got too grouped up for her taste.
Rino, the commoner with no last name however blew Malty out of the park as she was already level twenty-three with skills gained from her years of adventuring that allowed her to be a calm and efficient killer of monsters which was the most important rather than Malty's tendency to torture the monsters she was fighting.
Alice yet another commoner with no last name however had terrible nerves and when I bluntly pushed her to fight some simple flesh eating wolves that we melee fighters could kill easily... She locked up as the monsters rushed her down with her conjured magic missile breaking apart as she was so damned stressed that she couldn't channel her magic properly to cast the magic.
So in my mind she was useless unless she had a guardian to keep her safe and calm unless she got some training.
Lastly was Lesty... Lesty Bouragord who was abjectly fucking useless in all versions of the word. She had zero combat abilities now and only a spear and staff combo that allowed her to use some weak magic that was preprogrammed into the staff that her father spent an exorbitant amount of money upon getting it from the neighboring country of Zeltoble.
And I could see how nervous she looked upon my calm eyes landing on her form as she shifted uncomfortably before I walked closer and while all but looming over her shorter frame I said quietly so the others couldn't hear. "You are useless right now Lesty Bouragord. No even worse is that you are dead weight... When we get back to town today you will pick up a Grimoire or Crystal Ball to download three faust level spells into your head that you will be able to use in combat while you study in your free time."
Her face flushed slightly and she hissed. "They are expensive! How will you afford them?" She questioned making me raise an eyebrow before I said more loudly and frankly.
"I won't be buying them. You or more exactly your father will be buying them. Get a healing spell, a stamina-recovering spell, and an offensive spell of your choice... Otherwise, you are out of the party."
Leaning back I gave the rest of the girls who were taking a rest a look and said. "Alright we are in a party and with myself being a Legendary Hero we do have an EXP buff but we will all be fighting together to take out a pack of rhino-hogs that are noted as living down the way."
I looked at Alice and said. "Alice you will be beside Malty who will protect you and will support the party with her fire magic while you are also casting magic. Rino you and Elena are with me in front-line combat." I said as I brought the party towards the herd of a half dozen oversized armor-plated pigs that I wanted to kill and get my first monster kills of my mine upon.
In not saying anything to Lesty about where she was supposed to be in our formation I was putting more pressure on her, as she literally no idea where I wanted her now and with the swift jog I took us on toward the monsters, she couldn't ask either.
As for why I was doing that... It was simple. Lesty was a cruel conniving bitch who happily followed along with Malty's plans in canon that were basically bent on bringing ruin to this world. So I was going to break her down, and make her into a better person that will serve my needs.
Lesty was going to be my test bed honestly. If I could break her mentally and have her submit to me by being gaslight or otherwise broken down so I could move onto the real issue in breaking down Malty.
Because if I couldn't break Malty and make her into a good girl... Then for the sake of the literal world, I would have to kill her so not only would she not kill or betray me but also act under the orders of the world invaders.
We quickly made our way to the Rhino-Hogs and once we got there I switched my spear to the Throwing Spear and using its skill I threw it towards the largest Rhino-Hog with my spear becoming a blur of light that shot deep into the side of the Rhino-Hog alpha making it squeal loudly at the fist-sized hole that punched halfway into its lower guts missing its vitals but still causing a lethal wound if it was left to bleed out.
But swine were vicious creatures even when they weren't actual monsters so even with the lethal wound, the monster whirled onto me with gleaming eyes filled with murder as I thought. 'Alright, I may have gotten knowledge on how to actually use a spear but the finer arts of throwing it over long distances and such are beyond me.'
Squaring up I held out my hand instinctively and the Throwing Spear reformed within my hand and as Malty and Alice began chanting their one-verse Faust or 'Fast' tier spells I threw another Throwing Spear skill into action with my SP draining at using the skills so quickly while still being lvl 2 that I got off of leeching EXP from the girls little trial.
My spear slammed home into the frontal leg in the charging Rhino-Hog instead of its head where I was aiming and honestly... It worked out better that way as it squealed and flopped through the air as the agony of landing on its injured leg made it fall sideways with its massive body that was equal to a small horse tripping up the other half dozen Rhino-Hog allowing Malty and Alice to form their spells.
The Rhino-Hog's themselves were rather slow honestly, as although they were clearly strong and resilient where they had the carapace armor around their forms. They weren't nearly at my running speed with the boosts the Legendary Spear gave to me as the user with the fastest speed even at my low level.
Striding forward Rino and I quickly dispatched the alpha Rhino-Hog with her rapier slamming through its eye cavity and into its brain while I slammed the Legendary Spear in the Iron Spear mode through its skull with a loud cracking noise ringing out as I broke open its skull and the smaller pointed iron like tip of the spear tore through the monsters cranial matter.
Two beams of fiery light lanced past our forms with a couple of the Rhino-Hog's groaning in pain as Alice and Malty's spell burned their faces horribly with the two girls restarted their chants as Rino and I went forward and carved open another charging Rhino-Hog with the girls blowing up the last Rhino-Hog's head and upper body with similar exploding fireball spells while Elena properly finished off the couple wounded Rhino-Hog before they could attack or otherwise flee.
It was efficient and no one got hurt. But as the girls cheered at killing the clearly not trash monster like the ballons or other low tier monsters. I saw Lesty shifting in place with her gripping a fist as she looked at Elena who gave Malty a quick hug in celebration at leveling up from this battle.
'Step 1, Isolating, putting her apart from the group will make her more dependant on me when they inevitably look at her as deadweight. And she won't and probably literally cannot leave my party with how her father who is the head of the nations treasury is trying to play politics in having his daughter with a Legendary Hero.' I thought before looking away as Rino gave me a pat on the arm and said quietly.
"I can show you how to throw a spear if you want? I learned how to throw a spear and other weapons from my father who was a mercenary so I know what I am doing."
She was genuinely offering this out of kindness and wanting to help so I nodded and said with a grateful smile. "Rino, I would appreciate that. Thank you."
Taking a breath I called out. "Alright girls, I am going to feed that alpha to my spear to get some new spear forms. While I am doing so, you girls pull out the valuable reagents and such so I can sell them off when we get back to Melromarc." I ordered the girls and once again Lesty was left 'useless' As its not like a noble girl like her knew how to dismantle a monster or even what was actually valuable in this particular monster.
To say nothing of her spear/staff being not useful at this even if she wanted to help which she most certainly didnt. And neither did Malty so as those two in Malty and Lesty stood aside, Rino, Alice and Elena got to work dismantling the corpses.
'Good, with her standing there once we get back to the city I will have every reason to take her to ask in a large public area and will punish only her to push a rift between her and Malty to separate them as I don't mention Malty at all in the coming punishment.' I thought coldly with some amusement as I plotted out exactly when and where I was going to make this scene.

TFTC idc if it's how it was in canon, making the spear reappear in his hand rather than flying towards him is such a missed opportunity. He could have had a whole Gáe Bulg and/or Gáe Assail moment and it would have been awesome. speaking of which, what are the chances you'll eventually make his spear able to turn into cursed spears (like Gáe Dearg or Gáe Buidhe ), legendary spears (like Gáe Assail, Gáe Bulg, Ascalon or Longinus) or mythical spears (like Gungnir , Vasavi Shakti, Ame-no-Nuboko, Meslamtaea, Trishula, Magna Voluisse Magnum or Rhongomyniad)?

Forgot about this, honestly very curious as bout whether he can succeed and breaking someone like Malty fully is gonna be a trick.
