Broken Hearts. Mended Lives Chapter 3

Being able to throw down with gods was A not an ability that I had, and B I needed to support myself and Hinata before I could find ways to use whatever abilities I had to support the two of us and more later on.
So I turned back to my old talents before I got into doing therapy work. I got a decent job at a higher-paying restaurant after proving that I was both an experienced Rotisseur and Boucher.
And after I got a small advancement on my paycheck I got Hinata and I a bed obviously along with other living supplies allowing us to begin to live a good middle-class life.
Hinata herself had cemented herself as a stay-at-home 'wife' to my neighbors and we had settled in with one another. For one I wasn't a difficult person to get along with, and Hinata was honestly a sweetheart so we quickly made peace with one another and with her desire to help me in turn for all the comfort and understanding I gave her. She did everything she could to teach me about Chakra and support me otherwise.
While the small tv in front of us was playing some news about conflict in another region of the world, Hinata herself was snuggled up beside me on our shared bed as she took comfort in my gentle embrace. Her soft pupilless lavender eyes staring up at me from where her head was resting on my chest.
Hinata had mentally broken from violently forced submission forced upon her during her stint in Kumo back in her world, and due to her... Needs she literally couldn't go cold turkey on physical contact so over the past few days I had come up with a better way for her to slowly ease back into normal intimacy.
I remained calm and mostly unresponsive and Hinata would gain the physical contact she needed from me. I didn't possesively hug her, or paw at her admittedly fantastic form either. No, she needed a lot of cuddles that she was in control over.
And if she wanted to cuddle with me and watch me with both fear and with anticipation of me doing something to her... I was going to let her mind slowly mend and let her mind come to accept nice gentle lovemaking as the norm before we did anything unless she pushed for it.
"Stark Industries Stock are at an all-time high now with Tony Stark introducing his patented Arc Reactor Technology into three other cities beyond just NYC. But lobbyists for other energy companies are striking back and declaring Stark Industries interference illegal due to the number of jobs that will be lost."
My mind stilled and I could feel my chest freeze as I looked upon the TV and staring me in the face was the smug somewhat scruffy-looking face of fucking Tony Stark from the cinematic universe of Marvel. 'Oh shit... I literally landed in Marvel. Thats what my patron meant about being 'snapped' out of existence god dammit!" I mentally cried out.
But my desperate thoughts were cut off as Hinata gave a tiny squeeze around my chest with her voice coming out muffled from where she had her face and eyes closed agaisnt my chest. "What is wrong?"
I resumed my breath and after a moment I gave her a small squeeze back that made her shudder as I said softly. "Its fine, I just had a bit of a stressful thought."
Hinata remained silent for a minute before she gave gathered up the courage to fully wrap her arms around my form and tightly hug me with her body shaking as she forced down her flight instincts as she didn't even have any fight instincts in her body anymore.
"Good girl." I whispered into Hinata's head as I felt her nose pushing into my neck and at my words, I could feel her inhale sharply before she took a deep steadying breath. All the while I was just processing all this information.
'I am in the Marvel universe... But which one? Is it just cinematic due to Iron Man's appearance? Or is it the extended universe with Xmen, and all the supernatural elements?' I thought before taking a breath to calm down fully as in reality... It wasn't my problem.
I was just a chef and 'husband' of a beautiful woman who needed a good deal of mental help. Thanos wasn't going to be my issue... Though for my own sanity, I would need to go to the library or something to try to look up big events to see where in the timeline I was.
'Oh god... Trying to type in, Are mutant humans with powers real. Yeah, that sounds like a wonderful idea.' I thought flatly but I was dragged away as Hinata shifted with her large breasts dragging across my chest as she slowly got up and she looked at me with a small smile.
"Jake, what do you want for dinner tonight?" She asked conversationally as she remained still so close and I hummed and said happily.
"Can you make that sweet and sour chicken with rice balls for dinner if that isn't too much work?"
Hinata's lips deepened in her smile at my request and then she patted my leg as she leaned in and my eyes widened as she kissed my cheek with a flush entering her cheeks as she squeaked out quickly. "It's no trouble at all!"
And then her form blurred as she fled and used a fucking 'Shunshin' to all but teleport into the kitchen away from me as I laid there awkwardly frozen in time as her embarrassed expression was just too damned cute!

A good distance away from NYC but still with the state, deep within the ground and within a massive circular room. A man sitting in a chair carefully put down a metal helmet attached that was hooked up to several cables that went into the room with exceedingly complex engineering.
"Two new mutants living together not even an hour from the school barring traffic... So I should tell Jean and Ororo to hurry lest Magneto finds them first as it will take three hours to get through traffic." Xavier said as he rolled himself out of the massive Cerebro.
As its not like he could have the Xmen jet fly through New York City to pick up a new mutant. A few planes smashing into some towers kinda ruined flying his jet through cities.

TFTC I actually really like that he is using his past life's job as way to make a living in this one. I've seen far too many stories out there that were like "I was a world leading doctor and/or researcher and/or etc. in my last life but in this life despite remembering everything else clearly, the only knowledge I mysteriously lost is my medical knowledge and my drive to help people has magically vanished so I'm just gonna make a harem". it's a whole Chekhov's Gun thing, if you don't plan to use the information in any way than it shouldn't be put there. it's something you executed masterfully as something that was merely a single line of backstory is now the whole reason they were able to quickly settle into a stable life.

Honestly I'd take Robert Downey Stark over the Prime Stark, he can get a bit psycho at times. Give me party Stark anyday lol. Either way at least it isn't the ultimate universe, that place is...something else with only Miles Morales being the good thing coming out of it
