Of course, there were the dozens of facial plates that had their infamous optical implants. But every single one of the bastards had at least three or four notable pieces of cyberware that were clearly not something that fit them.
Because Cyberware most certainly did have it's limits. And the human body's limits were far more delicate with many of the goons I tore to pull out their cyberware looking like they were barely going to have two decades at most to live with how their bodies were rejecting their cyberware.
"Hmm... I am surprised the police haven't come here." 2B noted calmly and I who was working to rip the subdermal armor out of the leading gangster's skin grunted out.
"This is prime Mealstrom territory. Sure it's not their home base or anything. But they pay the cops to not respond to any calls about the area."
Better to ensure no cops arrive after hearing about people screaming as they are getting mugged and otherwise murdered.
2B was silent hearing that and she remained silent in her own thoughts as I finished collecting all the important bit's of cyberware and hardware in the goon's guns that I knew I could offload for some easy cash.
And after collecting all the cyberware I got us back into the truck after I set my Virtual Intelligance to hack into their neural docks to pull any money in their account's into my own.
Once we got back into my protected and armored van, with the van's auto-driving enabled I got into the gritty bit of inspecting and counting out the hardware. Which included several neural boosters, some set's of reinforced ankles, and reinforced leg tendons. gorilla arms and a couple sets of mantis blades.
A pretty good list of things to take from especially when I hopefully get Sasha out of my Autodoc so I can begin chipping in my own Cyberware.
As I was getting tired of being a normie in a world where someone can dive off a thirty-story building, land a headshot with a sniper rifle from half a mile away while still falling. And then land perfectly fine with their double jump implant.
"What is your first goal in making sure humanity will be safe Jake?" 2B asked after she seemingly got out of her stuck thoughts.
I blinked at the question and then I answered honestly. "I have a few month's maybe a year plus at most, to get everything set for the Batarians. So the name of the game, is automation. But I don't plan to work under one of the mega-corporations."
There was a pause before 2B asked curiously. "Why don't you make your own corporation or faction to have human helpers?"
I was silent for a spell until I finally answered. "The people of this world are groomed from birth to be self-serving. To be ambitious, to want to put themselves ahead... When the Batarians come, I am terrified they will make contact with the humans underneath me and have them betray me in return for some benefit."
Taking a breath I said honestly. "That's why I made you, that's why I want to remake YoRHa itself. Even if I make your faction from the ground up, I know you will at your core will not betray humanity."
2B was silent as she watched as we drove out of the dingy and dark northern side of Night City and headed back to the downtown where our hab tower was. And I noticed how she was looking especially at the human's we were driving by.
Finally 2B broke her silence with a tired sigh as she said. "You know what I am most disappointed about in being here and seeing Humanity?"
I paused at hearing that and I slowly responded. "And... What would that be?"
To which 2B responded dully. "Even though I hate it, I understand human's are different, they have conflict and choose different paths which can inevitably lead to conflict to say nothing of greed itself and wanting more for themselves."
2B took a deep breath before she spoke with some actual frustration in her voice. "But... Their greed is blinding them to simple decency. With just a single lump sum food could be improved for all people, but they force people to eat literally dog food. They force people to pay outrageous prices for any form of an actual home. But they could make even more money simply by building a couple more Hab Towers."
"Welcome to humanity, a race of chaotic beings, and why everyone calls a single person a logical being. A crowd of humans is a mob that follows the loudest shouter... And an organization of humans follows the one who makes the most money for themselves."
2B was silent as she absorbed my words before she said bluntly. "Jake, you should remake YoRHa. The more I spend on the Net, the more I realize how shortsighted and stupid the human's of this earth are... Because Vault Tech and Umbrella alone are all but planning for human extinction and planning to profit off of it."
My lips twitched and I said with a wry smile. "Yes, I will get right on making an android army honey. Just let me get home and have some food before I start."
And 2B knowing well my sarcasm spoke with humor in her voice. "Good, I will make your dinner from the recipes I downloaded off the net while you work."
After a bit I asked her curiously. "So I assume I should make a Commander model first to begin mass mobilization of YoRHa units?"
2B's face pinched at the reminder of Commander White but she nodded and said firmly. "A commander unit would indeed be for the best. As while within a certain radius of other YoRHa models they can interface with them and help them reach their peak preformance. Likewise D-Defender Unit's should be the next goal to properly secure the fabrication plant you have in the garbage heap."
'Oh god... I am making waifus from recycled E-waste trash.' I thought weakly before I asked quietly. "And you aren't mad at me for making you out of recycled trash?"
And 2B responded cuttingly. "And how does it feel as a human that at least a third of the population's survival is reliant on eating Kibble, humanized dog food?"
I was silent for a moment before I stated flatly. "I need to kill the leaders of the Mega-Corporations..."
There was no answer from 2B as we got back to my Hab Tower and all too soon we were back up in my apartment where I quickly realized that Sasha was stable and able to awaken from her drug induced coma.
And wanting my apartment secured, along with having my Auto-Doc emptied so I could begin chipping in my own implant's. I cut the drug supply to her veins and allowed her to begin to naturally come awake.
'Hopefully Maine has made progress on getting the cyberware I wanted.' I mused as I walked away from the Auto Doc.
Then taking a breath I said. "Alright 2B, I am going to get to work making a Commander Unit, so just make sure no one breaks in or something."
And then I went into the large walk in closet where most people here in the hab tower kept their guns and clothes... Me, I used the large walk in closet as my tiny workshop where instead of painting minatures, I made android waifus apparently now.

Hopefully, the Commander model is more of a realist than an optimist, and can help Jake effectively manage and make decisions. Commanders, in general, know all too well when it is time to make tough decisions with far-reaching consequences.

He better be "selective" with the Waifu's that he's making with those templates, some of them were alright but, a lot of them were crazy. Maybe he could also use some other AI's from different franchises and make them into YoRHa Androids (or cyborgs) like Alita, Cortana, or Kusanagi Motoko. TFTC.

Aside from toddlers, most of the population from the cyberpunk world is utter garbage. I think Jake SHOULD let the Batarians go hog wild, and if he can, direct them subtly toward the worst of humanity. It will be a huge fucking wake-up call if he plays his cards right and "finds" information that major corporations and government officials were working with alien slavers and posts it far and wide, that might be more impactful overall. The human psyche doesn't place much value on things done for free. The people need to be involved in their own salvation as it were. Jake completely irradicating the Batarian threat in the background will do nothing to help towards future threats. ie the Solarians, and the Reapers if it goes that far.

He can still create his own mega corporation, he just need to put android at all level, or hire only android. After all it will give him legal power and open some door.
