Alone in a corner of the school cafeteria, Lara Warner was doing her best to keep from crying as she glanced at her self-[Appraise]. She’d had a lot of practice at that, lately, but it was still difficult. After all, she was one of only four people in her entire school who had the Slave title, and everybody knew exactly why she had it, and what she had to do with her family every day.
It would have been worse, of course, if her parents hadn’t given her a [Profession Change Tome] from the System Shop. An Influencer who has lost their influence took massive penalties under the System, after all. Unfortunately, her father, as her Master, decided to make sure that she was constantly reminded about her foolish mistake. The profession she now had was Courtesan, which was a fancy word for whore, apparently.
He made her give up the skills she’d chosen with the Influencer profession, too, instead picking up things like [Carnal Arts] and [Sensual Dancer]. Now, she knew more than she’d ever thought possible about sex, and how to ‘entice’ both men and women. She shuddered, thinking about how he’d made her dance for him, naked in his lap.
It had only been a few weeks, but she was already getting used to having to ‘service’ her Master and her mother. Already getting used to the fact that she was not allowed clothes when she was at home. Even if guests were over. Her Master seemed determined to make her an example, probably because it had been her idea to go to the dungeon. Her stupid idea.
“Hey, Lara,” a tired voice broke her train of thought. Looking up, she saw the rest of her ‘party’, such as they were. All of them wearing worn-down expressions. School had not been fun for any of them since the announcement of their punishments, after all.

“Hey, Alanna,” she said, scooting over to let the former boy turned girl sit next to her. Alan’s father had forced him to buy, and drink, a [Sex Change Potion], permanently changing him into a her. Needless to say, the rogue’s life at school had not been great, with the teasing, but at least she got to keep her Thief profession, instead of becoming a [Courtesan], like her.

Level 7 Fighter / Prostitute
Titles: Slave, Accommmodating
Still, they had it better than Sam. Sam’s father had not only turned out to be bisexual, but also had the Well-Endowed title, and the jock was not happy with either fact. This was high school, after all, and learning that the football team’s starting center was doing daily ‘quarterback drills’ with his father had caused all sorts of problems for him with his teammates. Especially when they found out that he’d gained the Accommodating title, and what it meant. When they saw he’d been given a Profession change to Prostitute, and learned that his father was planning on pimping him out when he became legal? Even worse. Thankfully, the season was over, now, so he could go home, instead of dealing with after-school activities. He wouldn’t be playing any other sports this year, or for the rest of high school, since away games would put him at risk of breaking the conditions of the sale, if he didn’t have time to do his ‘service’, or read Lord Kuronoth’s book.
Vance Frost

Level 7 Wizard / Alchemist
Titles: Slave, Masochist, Thrall
Of course, then there was Vance, their wizard. He not only had the Slave title, like the rest of them, but also the Masochist and Thrall titles, since his Mistress, his older sister, Lucy, had the Dominatrix class. Lucy had made it known that the only time Vance spent outside of a chastity device to keep him from playing with himself was during their showers, when he was ‘washing’ her, or other times when she wanted him inside her. And the only time he was allowed to remove the butt plug she’d picked out for him was when she allowed him to go to the bathroom, or when she wanted to use her strap-on on him.
Needless to say, they were all social outcasts, now. Any social life they might have had, outside the four of them, was thoroughly destroyed, and the only hope any of them had was that, after they graduated from high school, that they would be allowed to go someplace where no one knew their names. Assuming that their Masters freed them, of course. And there was no guarantee that they would. In fact, Lara was starting to think that her Master was never going to free her.
“So,” Sam began, trying to keep his voice as even as possible. “Anything new?”
Alanna nodded, glumly. “I turn sixteen next week. My Master told me that we’re going to be ‘celebrating’ with the whole family. You and your families are invited, too. He’s decided to give me more of an education in consequences. Said it would be a good ‘reminder’ for the rest of the kids in school.”
Lara frowned. “What do you mean? What could be worse than what you’re already going through?”
Alanna took a breath, and said, “According to his calculations, given when I took the [Sex Change Potion], I’ll be in the middle of my… my fertile period then.”
Sam gaped. “No. He wouldn’t! Would he?”
Alanna just nodded. “Yes, he and Mom talked about it. They figure this is the best way to make sure I stay out of trouble, even after the three years are up. They’re talking about getting class and profession tomes for me, too. They’re talking about making me a Sexual Healer and Maid. I don’t think they’re going to let me go, even after graduation.”
Vance sighed. “If it helps, Alanna, you aren’t the only one who probably isn’t getting free. Lucy has already told me that I’m going to be her bitch boy for life. The only way I’m ever getting free from her is if one of us dies, or if I convince one of her friends to let me impregnate them. Of course, her friends all know about that condition, so they’ve been just as merciless as she is.”
Lara shuddered in horror as she realized something. “I think my Master is going to do something similar with me. I was due for my next birth control shot next week, but he canceled the appointment.”
“Damn,” Sam said, understandingly.
“Damn it all!” Alanna cursed. “It was just one little mistake! Why should we have all these lifelong consequences from it!”
“I think that’s the point,” Vance said. “They want us to be the lesson for everyone else. Lord Kuronoth made sure that we were going to be made example of, but they’re doing more, so that they can show everyone about how you can’t just ignore consequences. My Mistress says that we’ll be shining examples to our classmates about why they should follow the rules.”
“I’m sorry, guys,” Lara said. “If it wasn’t for my bright idea…”
“No,” Alanna cut her off. “We all had the same idea, and we all went through with it. Now, we’re just going to have to deal with the consequences. And hope that, in three years, they’ve decided that we have learned our lessons.”

The system definetly messed with some heads here. Though these kids still not realizing how lucky they are to still be alive is disappointing.

Thank you for the Great Chapter. I hope we get to see more of what happens to them down the road, possibly after a year, then the three. In three years will they even want the lessons to end. I'm sure the System will award them Titles for what is happening to them and those will subtly influence their thinking.

Considering that if what should have happened happened they would have all been dead. As an example dead people are easily forgotten or ignored. Others would have just said, "We won't make their mistakes, we are smarter and better than them." So it would happen again. But a lesson that is always visible will not be forgotten. Lastly, regardless of what they go through, they are alive to go through them. But it does seem that their parents are influenced by the System and Kuro himself. Not that I'm complaining, I'm sure given time they will come to love their punishment.

I was about to ask the question of whether using a sex change potion just affects the physical and soul/essence or it only affects the physical that's why the System still shows her as male.

My first instinct on reading this was that the punishments were going to far, but the more I read, the more I saw of their attitudes, of the "it was only one small mistake, we don't deserve to have terrible consequences" the more I find myself thinking their parents are actually taking exactly the right approach here! It is if they still cannot / will not understand the sort of consequences that await those who challenge the dungeon foolishly, or what the adventurers are really risking! It feels more like wilful blindness, also known as young and stupid *rolls eyes*

Alanna’s appraisal info still says human male, I imagine that’s a typo. Great chapter! Maybe one day those kids will learn their lesson. And if not, they’ll be a fine example for others

These kids have it tough. One things for the masters to fulfill the contract. Completely another thing to use them this way. Story wise wonderful for an update on them. And quite an update. Nice how you came up with that Stuart.

It's not a matter of whether the parents think they've learned their lessons, it's whether they actually HAVE learned their lessons. Lara and Alanna popping out a few of their dad/master's kids will only help reinforce this. Not just on the girls, but the group as a whole, much like what happened to Leah after she foolishly attempted to challenge the dungeon without signing the contract.
