Yeah, I hadn't really thought about it - I think she just likes medieval heraldry.

The reason I said that is because you live in the UK. The Plantagenet was the first royal dynasty in England, so it made it's way to the coat of arms for England. Maybe subconscious on your part. You've likely seen it many places without it really registering.

I am legitimately shocked her mother didn't leave her dad for a black guy. I thought that was automatic. I hadn't even considered another option.
