Back to cross the bridge
🕑 Added 2022-12-08 09:31:29 +0000 UTCHello everybody. I apologize for the lack of news these months. I want to explain in detail in the future, but for now, I'm going to copy and paste what I wrote in f95zone because I won't be able to explain it any better.
"I was trying to develop the game's editing tools at the same time as I was creating the game, which is like trying to cross a bridge at the same time as you're building it.
So after finishing the scenes of chapter 3 and realizing that a lot wasn't working I decided to finish building the bridge, including demolishing some sections to rebuild.
So the bridge is complete and I started to cross it again."
This video shows important elements that were implemented in the visual of the characters. At first glance, it doesn't look impressive, but you'll have to believe me.
First, the characters no longer need a lot of light care to be presentable, and you would only know how much of an achievement this is if you knew the work I had before to position the lighting in each take of the game. Note the outlines, what do you think?
Another cool thing is that the expressions, the gaze direction, and even the blinking of the eyes are entirely procedural, which means that there is no pre-programmed animation of these movements. The result is characters that are much more alive and attractive.
I'm going to show little by little the improvements that were included. I know it's not what you want to see, but I need you to know that I'm working on it.
I apologize again, I will strive to earn the support you continue to give me even in the face of such a lack on my part. Thank you so much!

I apologize most sincerely. The project is up and running, but I'm trying to restructure myself to get my routine back to normal before returning to posting regularly. I know I'm doing it wrong and should let you guys know more about how things are going, but at the moment it gives me a lot of anxiety. I promise that when things are back to normal I will keep you posted, but at the moment, writing a text explaining my difficulties is more mentally exhausting than working to resolve my situation. What I can say is that a single bug has me stuck on another project that I need to finish before I can focus exclusively on S4H, and I'm working exhaustively to resolve it.

More than half a year and not even a "MEEP". I wouldn't mind senseless status reports. Just to be sure that you are still alive. BUT not even a "MOOP" :(
