Yeah first time I watched that was at a friends house, back then they had their computer set up in their living room. We cried out loud, her mother was really confused when she realized it's a "cartoon" we're watching xD

Not sure why, but back then I felt more sad for Sasori. Gaara's situation is undoubtedly very sad, but it didn't resonate as strong with me compared to other scenes for some odd reason (being a very empathetic guy). You tearing up though, made me also tear up :D
