QUESTION: One Piece.

As most are aware we are currently going through the manga of the smaller and arcs not deemed essential to react to the episodes of as it's much quicker catching up and safer for copyright but which ones ARE really needed to be watched?
We're currently reading Drum Island which I've been told is best but is the upcoming Alabasta arc worth watching?
Sky Island etc?
Any help is welcome!

Alabasta is worth it probably. Tbh im enjoying the reading more. Just read and react to important scenes

Havent watched a lot of one piece but ive heard Marine Ford is like the Pain arc of Naruto

From Alabasta and Skypea I think its enough to watch the final 10 episode in the Anime to see the climax animated as well as for Thriller Bark. Water 7, Enies Lobby, Sabaody, Marine Ford, Return to Sabaody, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island and Wano are must watch basically the whole Arcs but Whole Cake Island and Dressrosa are very long maybe the One Pace version would be the best way to consume these I think after you read the manga chapters

Drum Island for sure, certain characters are portrayed WAYYY better than in the manga, Marineford as well.

Skyepia feels like a filler arc, it barly has any plot relevance

Alabasta and Skyepia is a must watch imo. They're a bit slow pacing wise but so worth it

I would say certain episodes are must watch but I wouldn't watch the whole arc. That's just my personal opinion tho

Water 7, Enies Lobby, Sabaody archipelago, Marine ford are must watch arcs imo. They are a bit later on than where you are at rn tho
