Geometry Nodes Ep 20 – Implementing a Linear Falloff
🕑 Added 2023-01-26 13:07:04 +0000 UTCIn this video we’ll learn how to solve the issue with the spherical falloff, that the object reappears as soon as the falloff gizmo crosses the object. Using a vector dot product we’ll implement a linear falloff that uses a line as a gizmo to create a gradient of weight values for our points.

After spending some time with trigonometry this makes much more sense and I am blown away by your ability to realize how such a calculation could solve a problem in a case like this. I am REALLY enjoying this series by the way. By far the best Blender Geo Nodes Tutorial series I was able to find. I love the approach of starting with the basics and appreciate you explaining everything very much. Thank you, Manuel!

Usually I can keep up with your pace but this one I found a bit hard to follow. Maybe I am missing the basics of trigonometry here.. nevertheless very fascinating to see how much you understand the underlying data structures
