Here’s a quick message from me to keep you updated on what’s been happening over the last few days, or even for a good, solid week.
I’ve finished the arc of the double royal wedding, and I’m very happy with it.
I had a lot of fun writing it, despite the numerous critiques on Webnovel.
I chose to stick to my vision without deviating from it, as I felt confident it would be worth it.
Many people enjoyed this arc as a whole and sent me numerous messages to let me know.
I am very grateful to you for that, as it’s a huge motivation boost.
With the end of this arc, I took the time to really think things over.
At the start of my fanfics, I never really know if they’re going to take off or if they’ll resonate with you.
So, I don’t stress too much about making them unique.
I realize that I haven’t really developed the system and that most characters haven’t been shown in enough depth to understand the dynamics between Aemon and others.
The story has mainly focused on Aemon.
I hesitated for a long time about whether or not to follow the series’ chronology, meaning to introduce time-skips here and there.
In the end, I decided against it, because while this story is a fanfic, it’s so far from the original chronology in 114 AC that it would be a shame if, by 129 AC, we end up with the Blacks on one side, the Greens on the other, everyone fighting, then Aemon takes the crown… Boom, the end. TIN TIN TIN.
That would be really lackluster and, above all, predictable—a conclusion anyone could see coming.
I don’t like it when a story is too easy to foresee because it takes away that realistic touch that immerses us in George R.R. Martin’s magnificent ASOIAF/GOT universe, the GOAT.
It also takes away what makes life… life.
Tomorrow, we could get hit by a car, or a comet could crash down on your house.
No one can predict the future.
I’ve therefore decided to build the world a bit more by gradually introducing characters from this universe, taken from the books or from the AGOT lore of CK3 (thanks to Rocky for the idea).
Of course, everything will be reinterpreted in my own way, and I’ll do my best to make sure it’s not boring.
For those who were looking for a story centered on the Dance of the Dragons, I’m sorry to say that it won’t be happening right away.
However, what I can say without a doubt is that once the Dance of the Dragons begins, there will be many more dragon riders and battles than in the original Dance.
It’s going to be a true battle royale, and, to be completely honest, I don’t even know yet who’s going to win.
I’ve been posting a bit less content lately because last month wore me out. I was really drained by the end of the double royal wedding arc.
I was writing over 2,000 words, sometimes even more, each day, and I eventually had to slow down because it wasn’t sustainable.
I started losing the joy of writing, and I told myself, "Stop." Now, I’m slowly starting to regain the pleasure of writing, and I think it’s a good thing, as I’m taking more time to imagine little ideas that could, in the future, become something big.
I’ve also been thinking about polls.
I’m not sure what you think, but I’d really like to get you more involved in creating my stories, especially those of you who support me as paying members.
I have some ideas, but for now, I’d rather keep them to myself so I can stay flexible and not feel obligated to stick to something just because I mentioned it.
On the personal side, things haven’t been great lately.
My little sister was very sick and had to be hospitalized.
It was a big blow, but fortunately, the doctors found what was wrong and were able to treat her.
She came home today, which has been a huge relief and encouraged me to write this long message to share with you all the thoughts I’d been holding in over the past few days, but didn’t have the energy or the will to share at the time.

First of all, I hope your sister recover and become better quickly. Now, for the story. You have my full support Author. Your are doing an amazing work and your writing is way way way better than a lot of fanfictions out there. So keep it up 👍 your are doing great. As for the burn out, to be honest when you were publishing 2 chapters a day ( in English), I was really surprised because I know it's not easy to do that and it's much harder to keep up with that pace. As I thought, that was indeed the case, you went on full "berserk" mode for a while and you nearly lost the energy and motivation for writing. My friend I suggest you only post a chapter a day while taking a day off, like Sunday, to rest and also to live healthily your social and personal life. Anyway, your are doing an amazing job, so don't care about the over negative comments and keep going 💪.

Internet criticism is one of two paths: 1. Hyper-autistic: they’ll usually be canon fags, that sometimes offer a valid criticism more to the base of the fiction than yours 2. BS- they’ll whine about their favored character being slighted Both criticisms need to be treated like a good meal or a well made alcoholic beverage..take it for what it is and see how it aligns with YOUR taste

Thank you for your message and support! I noticed you commenting on Webnovel too (your profile picture helped me recognize you), and it really means a lot. At first, negative criticism hit me straight in the heart, but I’ve learned to ignore the bad and take only the good from critiques, so now it’s easier to handle. Of course, I’ll spend time with my little sister – she’s my ray of sunshine. Thanks for thinking of her too! And yes, I’ll take a bit of time to relax (that’s always when the best ideas come to me anyway).

Hope your little sister is back to being healthy soon buddy, good to hear whatever ailment(s) was/were taken care of Idea I would have would be instead of a Dance of Dragons, since Cregan and Aegon are fostering with Aemon…have Cregan and Aegon commiserate together for uniting reasons: 1. Cregan- hates being away from the North and despises the 7 faith, but is happy that he’s fostering with a Targaryean that has blood ties to the first men. Could potentially have an arc where he shows Cregan the DragonStone cave paintings of the Others against the Giants, first men, children of the forest…meaning Aemon offering an olive branch to Cregan and the North that all he is doing is to prepare for the next Long Night 2. Aegon- hates that he is heir (by Andal law) and doesn’t want responsibility, eventually stops hating the fostering because like Bobby Baratheon he sees the calm quiet and reserved nature along with being a great sparring partner as more favorable than sycophants and ass kissers in the south…could have Aegon potentially start leaning a bit more open towards the Old Gods because the simplicity of the Old Gods is refreshing; which Aemon can tell both sides that after they’ve finished fostering to maintain the image of the epitome of foster brothers that they both go to the religious sites of each other at first, and close with the faith of the other as a sign of respect and goodwill Basically Aegon and Cregan see many cons…but the pros and benefits all align with Aemon as the common bond

I honestly really like your work, I don't usually comment much but I want you to know that you have my support, the main thing is always that you like and are happy with what you do, listening to other people's opinions sometimes is good, but don't let yourself be shaken by them either. I'm also happy to know that your sister is better, take the opportunity to spend time with her when possible and also to have some time to relax, sometimes it's good and it helps… and of course, thank you for your work
