Almost had it. Ngl I always get a kick outa people trying to pronounce my IGN. I made it back in like 8th grade, you say it like Quoth, from Edgar Allen Poe. As a kid and even now it doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing to me having the U before the O, so I swapped them lmao. Banger video, was waiting for this world to show up. Halloween Town was always my favorite because of the art style, but especially the music. Love KH2’s version a little more than the firsts though, and I was severely disappointed Halloween Town wasn’t in the third game. Maybe.. Hopefully.. In the Fourth

Lovely compliment but it’s so inaccurate it hurts lmao. I kinda feel the same way about Nightmare, the only reason I ever knew it as a kid was BECAUSE of KH. The original movie never really stuck with me. I did however always adore Oogie Boogie in KH and I’m so glad he was given a bigger role in the games compared to the movie. As others mentioned, there are chests in the original kh1 that are actually missable in Oogie’s Manor after it’s destroyed. One of them being freaking Dalmatians lol. If you miss chests in this version, they will appear in the alcove under Oogie’s Manor after it’s gone. The red trinity was also moved from the house to that wall so it’s no longer missable either. The red trinity was in fact in that doorway that disappears after you got the red trinity in this version. So it’s possible they still affect each other somehow.

Super Robot Wars is an S-tier crossover series and has been running forever. Part of its magic I think is that they don't just include characters outside of their stories, but adapt multiple pre-existing stories all at once and have them intertwine and interfere with eachother in cool ways.

That area in Oogie's manor changes because in the Ps2 version that's where the Red trinity originally was supposed to be. It's probably just an oversight when they changed it in Final Mix

To be fair, Jack falls for Sally because she's the one person who DOESN'T put him on a pedestal. She repeatedly tries to tell him he's wrong, actually tries to help Santa, and also tried to cheer him up with handmade things. It's easy to forget he noticed that. He outright says, at one point, that he basically should have listened to her. The disappearing bit with the Trinity is because that used to be the area you used the Red Trinity on, but this made it missable. So it was changed so you couldn't get stuck at 99% with no way to get that last Trinity without starting over. I'm guessing they never completely uncoupled the pieces so it vanishes after you use the Trinity.

Minor correction, Nightmare isn't claymation, just regular stop motion, as while the puppets and sets were made with incredible skill and dedication, none of them are made of clay.

I was hoping you'd talk more about the voice actors, especially considering Chris Sarandon returned as Jack, which is especially funny considering you mentioned The Princess Bride as the other cult classic and he plays Prince Humperdink in that movie, BUT ANYWAY. Also, I was hoping you'd touch on the fact that for Final Mix they moved the Red Trinity in Oogie's manor down from the main floor when you first get inside from the bridge all the way down to the arch at the creek, and how sometimes the Red Trinity still stays around even after you get it, BUT ANYWAY. RIP Ken Page.
