The Jedi might have to focus on the Clone Wars, but Palpatine with that smile is clearly gonna keep an eye on Maul. You cant forget, Maul was literally his apprentice. That was his man's until he got chopped up and everyone thought he died. Now that he's not under Palpatines control anymore, he's definitely a threat. So he will absolutely be keeping an eye on Mauls movements, ready for whenever he makes his move.
