Older save files usually crash with new versions of the game. This is a problem with the game engine, not with the game itself. In these cases, I'm afraid the only solution is to start the game over again. However, if you don't want to do that, I'll be uploading my saves along with the new update (v0.0.8) so that you or anyone else who's having problems with their saves could at least play the new version without starting over again. You'll be able to choose to start from week 2 to week 8, so if you've missed a few updates, you could start from week 5 or 6 and go from there.

Looking forward to the release! (Minor wishlist item for the countdown posts: could you include the planned time (including time zone) in the actual post? I get those mailed by Patreon and sometimes it's really handy to see the meat of the post without an additional click. Just a line like "The release is planned to happen on 2019-02-23 at 7 PM UTC" would be very helpful.)

Having done several beta tests this week, there shouldn't be any problems with the save files from v7 this time around. The only minor issue you may have is that your save may start a few frames before your original save spot. I'm not really sure why that is, but supporters of other devs games have had this same bug with saving files in the past month or so.

Will the save file bug be fixed this time? I havne't been able to play for 2 or 3 versions because whenever I try to load my savefile up I either get an error message, or get booted back to the main menu.
