Save Files For Melody v1.00
🕑 Added 2019-04-27 19:01:01 +0000 UTCEvery time a new update gets posted, some of you have trouble loading your old saves.
This isn’t a problem with the game itself, but with the game engine. Unfortunately, new versions of the game won’t fix this most of the time, so if your save doesn’t load, you’ll have to start over again.
I know that some of you might not want to do that, so in order to help you out with this problem, I have decided to upload a list of save files that you can load into your game, so you can continue from where you left off.
All saves are compatible with the latest version (v1.00) and they all load at the end of each week (Melody only route and perfect score):
Download the saves here (From week 2 to week 14): Mega - Google Drive
All you have to do is copy the save that you want into your saves folder. It is usually located here:
Windows: Users\*name*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Melody-SAVES
Mac: ~/Library/RenPy/Melody
Linux: ~/.renpy/Melody
Android: Android\data\com.mrdotsgames.melody\files\saves
Alternatively, you could copy the save into your game's saves directory here:
Melody-0.11b\game\saves
IMPORTANT: This will replace the first slot of your saves, so make sure to backup your old saves before.
If you want to change the name of the MC, go to the relationship menu and then click "Your info"
Hopefully this can help you avoid the issue of starting the game over again.

When I update my name it just shows a blank in the conversations on mobile. Any idea on how to troubleshoot?

Starting over is not the end of the world, it will give the chance to “experiment” with different choices & paths offered in the game

Yep, it was the Sophia/Xianne choice. Had to go way back to correct it. Thanks for the fix.

You're not on her path when the massage scene happens (After Bethany talks to Hank), or it was probably due to the choice you made between Sophia and Xianne in Week 9 (Keep it casual), which is the reason Xianne decides not to give you a massage in Week 10.

I've never had a problem with saves loading with each new version. What I do is get to the Patreon splash screen at the end of each version, then scroll back one frame (so it's showing the last frame of the actual game) then save. Next patch release, just open the new version, load, and continue on your merry way. If you save on the Patreon splash, I'd imagine you have problems because you're trying to load a page that no longer exists.

Well, that's kind of a bummer. The whole new Xianne content is unobtainable because of the sudden send to the parking garage with Amy. Can't just give us a quick patch to kill that problem? Amy was not even part of my selected story.
