After another tiring month of hard work and persistence to put out a great update for you guys (and girls), it’s our pleasure to be able to officially release Version 10 of our current visual novel MELODY!
This update has some new features, interesting renders, animations (for $20+ members) and the Lewd Gallery will again have eight brand new designs featuring Melody’s aunt Amy.
The walkthrough fortunately was a lot more simplistic to put together, due to the fact that all characters don’t feature in this update like they did last month.
Any bugs or errors that you guys listed on our page or on the unofficial discord have been amended for this update.
Thank you all for that.
There’s also some new Lock/Unlock options in the Menu section (under “Other Girls”) that should make life a little easier when trying to access certain scenes within the game.
Just keep in mind that if you lock or unlock certain paths from this update onwards, then some of the story lines may not make sense. So for instance, if you’ve already decided to be with Amy, and Becca is locked, then unlocking Rebecca will give you dialogue for both girls, which won’t make sense to the story. You can however view scenes featuring both girls individually.
About this update (SPOILER ALERT)
Now that MELODY is playing more shows, where does her career go from here?
If you are dating her, when are you going to let everyone know about your blossoming romance?
What happened to her guitar, and how will yours ex’s use this against you both?
Are you ready to stand up to Bethany and put an end to things with her, once and for all?
If you’re just friends with Melody, are you really prepared to leave her in the hands of another, so you can be with one of the other girls?
Do you trust Hank and his team at the record label to do what’s best for Melody, even if you stay with Melody or not?
As we teased in the last update, Melody’s BFF SOPHIA has now taken more than a passing interest in you.
How will you approach this situation, especially if you are also seeing Melody?
Even if you’re just friends with Melody, how do you think she will react when or if she finds out that you’ve been fooling around with her best friend behind her back?
Or is it not totally inconceivable that Melody would be against having some fun with both of you in the near future?
Your lock and unlock combinations with these characters will determine what outcome you will get in an upcoming update.
What about if you’re not seeing Melody, but she is becoming closer to Sophia in a more physical and romantic way?
Or if that isn’t happening, what’s really happening behind closed dorm room doors between Sophia and the sexy oriental stunner XIANNE?
AMY and REBECA unfortunately won’t feature in the update, but they are eagerly awaiting to be reunited with you
(if you are on either of their paths) in the next update, where their paths will inevitably be concluded.
Points system
Now that the Melody relationship and friendship paths are separated, should make it easier to gain “Melody points” if you are seeing her.
If you are close enough to the 275 point mark, then Level 6 is attainable in this update, which will leave just one key left to obtain.
Make sure to use the walkthrough to collect all 37 points on offer during this week of the game.
As always, there are some bonus, alternate and animated scenes (for the $20+ Patrons) and some new sexual positions too! ;)
Scenes with audio
We’re slowly getting the audio we want for specific scenes featuring Melody, and this update features her playing and singing a fairly popular cover on acoustic guitar near the back end of this update.
For those that have the walkthrough, we’ve decided to try something new this time around.
During the sex scenes in this update, you’ll notice that we have suggested a “Recommended Track” for you to have playing during these scenes.
You can simply search for the song and artist through YouTube, Spotify or any other audio streaming platform. All you need to do is have the song begin playing from when these scenes start.
Of course, these songs are our own suggestions, but feel free to choose something more to your taste if need be.
Also, if you’d like to suggest a specific song and artist for any of the sex or romantic scenes that happen in any of the other weeks of the game so far, please post them up in our comments section below and we’ll consider your recommendations.
Another new feature that we’ve added to Melody for this update is the Instagram icon, which you will find in the top right-hand corner of the home screen.

MELODY v 0.11 will not be released until late July, due to the fact that we will be working on our "other game" next month.

Hi there Shawn. To answer your question, no not necessarily. As you may have noticed if you're a fair way into the game by now, the options to date the girls separately or at the same time are now an option. You can also choose to be just friends with Melody if you want to. Some combinations (dating more than one girl at once) will leave you with a special conclusion by games end, whereas same may finish as a bad ending. The best thing you can do is to use your save slots where there are options to date or refuse the girls as they come up. That way, you can always come back and change that option later on. I hope that helps! :D

I came across a demo version of this game, the patch escapes me, but it only went through day 3. Honestly, I enjoyed it enough to come support you. Perhaps this has been addressed in the past, but looking at the walkthrough brings one question to mind (keeping in mind how far I've been through this game as reference. Was the idea that a player only persues one path at a time, or maybe put it this way, how many paths can a player follow together before they cause issues in the storyline?

Best to start from scratch, just to be safe. And if you want to skip through any scenes, use the "Tab" button. And make sure to use the save slots when you play through the game again, in case you need to go back and change any decisions. Also, if you're on the $15+ tier, then you'll have the walkthrough to help you out. Apologies for the late reply, as we've been hard at work with our other game :)

So basically it means that you won't any scenes where you are seeing that girl, if they are set to "Locked". e.g. If Amy is set on locked, then you are not dating her and you're just friends. For the lesbian relationships, then setting them to "Unlocked" means you will see scenes featuring the two girls listed for these.

I've had a bit of an idea... I, myself, am a bit of a songwriter/lyricist and I have a song that, if I reworded it ever so slightly, it could represent Melody's interpretation of her relationship with the MC almost perfectly. Here's a short sample: When we met, I had suffered a loss, My life had changed and dark times lay ahead, I had lost all sense of direction, But you helped show a new path instead. You give hope to those who have none, A ray of light in a cloud of darkness, You took away all sorts of dread and sorrow, And filled it with a feeling of calmness. You always have a loving heart, warming to the core, Your soul is complete and infinitely pure, I hope we find what we are looking for, On our journey through this open door. This song is copyrighted, but I will give you permission to use it and it has another 2 verses and choruses if you do indeed want to use it as one of Melody's original compositions... I will just need to reword it slightly for you so that it fully represents her feelings for the MC etc...

What does the "unlocked" and "locked" relationships do again? Do they open/close the path to that particular girl? Or another purpose? It was not clear to me.

Hey kingsam178. If you go to the “Game” folder within the Melody app, then look for the “Music” folder. All the mp3 audio files used in the game so far are in there, and they are separated by each week of the game, starting from Week 5.

Hi Jordan. Those are nice ideas. We'll keep them in mind. As for your question, I'd say we're approaching the last part of the game. It's hard to say how many updates the game has left, but it will most likely be completed this year. I will make a post about this when the time comes.

Yes, you have to put the files inside the game folder. It doesn't work on Android versions though.

I would assume you possibly can... but then what I did was completely uninstall version 0.9 and install 0.10.... I didn't lose any of my saves from the previous episode/edition either...

Sorry stupid question - To upgrade from 0.9 to 0.10 can I use the patch. I downloaded it via mega, but my version 0.9 of Melody didn't recognise it.

How many episodes or weeks are you planning for the entire project? Maybe after the 'last' episode, you could come back to it every now and then with like a week or 2 weeks worth of content every 3-6 months while also taking that gap into consideration... So that after say, 6 months you possibly have the option of a marriage proposal or something like that, or maybe to wait a little bit longer etc.... and have like birthday and Xmas specials for each main character i.e the MC, Melody, Sophia, Xianne and Amy etc just to keep people interested..

I've tested the patch and it works. You will have to copy the new files into the "game" folder. That bug should not appear if you've installed the patch correctly. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey, downloaded the 0.09 to 0.10 patch from the Google Drive, and the game is still v 0.09. I'll try Mega next. Edit: Mega has the same files...if I put the files in the right spot, the game version still says 0.09 but it lets me continue in the story from my last save - however, I cannot access the lewd gallery, and yes, I put the password in lowercase.
