Plans For 2020 And Our Third Game

We hope you’ve all been well and that you are looking forward to Christmas this week and the upcoming New Year, as well as the release of the final version of “Melody” on Saturday, December 28th.
We’ll have more details and what you should expect in this final version on the day of its release.
But today’s post is all about our forthcoming third game, and to also let you all know of our proposed scheduling for 2020.
The first piece of news that we would like to share with you all is that the development of the new game will begin during the first week of January.
During that time, we will announce the game’s title and share with you our first previews.
However, the very first release of our new game will not be out until late March 2020. We believe we’re going to need at least two months to come up with a decent first version of the game.
There will be plenty of details and previews of the new game posted up between the start of January, and when the first version is released.
As for February, our plan is to release a new update of our first game. As many of you are aware, we are still working on our very first game, which we hope to complete by the end of next year.
So in other words, our schedule for the first three months of 2020 looks like this:
• January 2020: Start developing the new game. Release game’s title, description, update Patreon tiers and post up the first previews.
• February 2020: Release a new update of our first game.
• March 2020: Continue the development of the new game and release our first update.
April 2020 and beyond: Our idea is to keep working on one game at a time, like we’ve been doing for the past two years.
However, we will change the schedule to put more effort into finishing our first game. So, starting 2020, we will be releasing a new update of our new game once every two months instead of three.
We’re still not sure if we’ll be able to release an update per month of our new game, like we’ve been doing with Melody, since the new game will require more time to work on the renders (they’ll have higher resolution than Melody’s renders), so I’ll get back to you on this one once we release our first update, and by then I should have a good idea of just how much time it takes to complete an update.
The planning of Game #3 has been in the works for the past few months, with details, character creations, the plot and backstories having been discussed by myself, my main writer HearszAM, and our resident ideas guy Jeff Steel during that time.
We’ve somehow managed to flesh out several ideas despite having to manage and create updates for our first two games during this time as well.
As many of you may already know, if you have been following my work since Melody’s first release early last year, we weren’t afforded anywhere as much time as we were to create and release our second game. So that’s already a huge positive for us.
Something that we would really like to get back into the habit of doing is how we interact with you, our loyal followers, and as often as possible.
As we’ve previously stated, we make these games for you guys as much as we do ourselves, and we have also tried to incorporate as many of your ideas as we can into our games too.
So, with that, we would like to ask and invite you all to tell us: What would you like to see featured in our third game?
For those of you that have played either (or both) of our two games: What's been missing from those visual novels that you would like to see featured in our next game?
Maybe it’s a style of rewards or galleries system that we haven’t implemented as yet, or perhaps a scene setting that we haven’t used, or is there a particular fetish (that doesn’t breach Patreon’s guidelines) that you would like to see featured?
Maybe it’s something you’ve seen from other games and want us to implement it in ours?
If there was ever a time to suggest what you would like to see in our new game, then that time is NOW!

From a programmer point of view; I'd like to see the following: * Some disk saved flag that indicates you have unlocked gallery items; so they persist from one playthru to another (ie. even between characters) * I liked the DMD feature that showed FP/LP/C on the save icon * The ability to skip thru conversations (holding CTRL) seems to work; epsecially when you do alternate playthru, but again this should persist between different character names * The import process between chapters (especially DMD) seems cumbersome. I much prefer the Melody method of game where I simply replace the game executable and continue on using my existing saves

I've played through both of your current games multiple times and the only thing I noticed that I had an issue with is the lack of choice when it comes to sex (specifically, where the MC chooses to cum). It seems like the writers don't want to deal with the threat of pregnancy and err on the side of avoiding it completely. I'd love to see the new game tackle this more - provide the threat of it without all the 9 month non-sexy stuff that goes along with it. Blow your load in their face without them expecting it, etc. What you did with the 'Good Ending' of Melody Melody was a really great way to finish the 'pregnancy' options. Not just pregnancy though, but control in general in where the MC blows his load. As for other fetishes like NTR and BDSM, maybe provide those as a pathway that people can opt in or out of - it'd be a bit of extra work, but it would cover the people who enjoy that (I'm not one of them). Also, what I think made the first game top out above Melody was the taboo relationships. Maybe in this new game you're dating someone and decide to go after her daughter on the side. Maybe you're a high school teacher (or college professor depending on your legal age of consent - it's actually 16 here) so, on the side, there are options to fool around with the students when the more "primary" characters of interest have their stories fulfilled, etc. I'd also like to see more diversity in options (Xianne was probably my favorite in the second game).

One of the biggest things i (and many others) have wanted is to have "scene gallery" after unlocking scenes in the game. I know Melody will have this in the final update however i believe it will greatly benefit the game if this is implemented in the beginning of the new game. Please do consider this.

I like VNs with game altering choices and multiple paths, but you already do that well. I abhor BDSM, and I'm not fond of NTR. But for some reason I don't mind cheating. You pretty much in both games cover what I like to see in adult VNs. Keep up the good work.

je suis triste que Melody se termine je pense qu'il y avait encore du potentiel a développer avec ce jeu, mais bon c'est comme ça et quelque soit le jeu qui va le remplacer il sera a la hauteur de toute façon je vous fais confiance, mais s'il vous plait (please) avec DMD ne soyer trop presser de finir l'histoire prenez vôtre temps il fait l'unanimité de tous et temps qu'il sera développer vous aurez le soutient de tout les fans, c'est lui qui a fait vôtre succès.

It might be interesting to have more choice and branching paths, like Melody was developing instead of one main focus love interest like Game 1.

Réponse pour Fabien: Malheureusement MrDots n'est pas français, il est basé a San Francisco sur la côte ouest, il y'a deux ans environ MrDots avais fait un sondage pour traduire son jeu DMD plusieurs langues avait été proposer et l'Allemand et le Français étais arriver en tête et il y'a eu les événement avec la plateforme patreon et MrDots a du retirer le jeu DMD de la plateforme pour ne pas être banni , depuis il n'a jamais reparler de traduire ses jeux dans d'autres langues dommage.

I've been your patron for more than 3 years and I am still loving your games. But I miss, more in Melody than in the first game, more sexual stress in the roles. I remember the fetish that I would find in your games 3 years ago, I wish all those fetish in Patreon or in other place. An idea for the next game is to change the MC, maybe a young guy or a woman (the mother of the daughter or the daughter, or similar), I would like to find in your new game sexual blackmailing, ntr, bdsm and so one. But the factura is that I would be happy with whatever you and your team are thinking to do

I have to say, one of the things I love the most in your games is how well rendered are your female characters, especially the young ones (yeah I'm personally perfectly satisfied with the average age of the female interests). I really liked your most recent choices regarding the sex related content in DMD, those sharing points weren't all for nothing. So I'd be honestly glad if you continued to explore this kind of fantasies. Well, anyway I have faith your next game will be good, no matter your choices.

personally I thought game #1 was more captivating than game #2. Each taboo relationship was more fun to explore than traditional romancing. A game that captures the 'chase' and side relationships of chapter 1 of game #1 would excite me the most. Looking forward to it!

For the record, as you stated in your post, even thought you weren't afforded much time to develop game #2, you guys killed it. It wasn't sure about the game at first, but as it went on it became one of my favorites to play. So if you could do that without much preparation, I can't wait to see what you come up with when you have time!

TCoffin,je pense comme toi, le personnage principale peut avoir une liberté totale avec ses relations et même avec plusieurs protagonistes et même temps une relation ouverte, qu'il soit homme ou femme et pourquoi pas de même sex. MrDoys si vous avez un peu de temps regardez un développeur du nom de Wraped et son jeu appeler Sugar Daddy et dite moi ce que vous en pensez.

I really like the 1st game & Melody very much. I would like to mainly see some more older females (MILFS) as potential love interests or as a relevant side character. I enjoy the overall plot of both games thus far so i trust dev team's creative aspect to keep us engaged. That's all i can personally think of right now.

I'm certainly excited to see you guys finish a project (there are a lot of Patreon games that feel like they're perpetually in development). One thing that really struck me about Melody is the option to romance a side character and completely close off romance with the main character. I'm kind of hoping your next game will have a story which progresses without centering on a single love interest and instead provides more of a caste of characters to pursue. I understand this might be more difficult to develop in a sense since having a female lead makes it easier to intertwine the romance with larger story events and this might be too many variables to factor in, but it might be possible with a story that doesn't revolve entirely around the relationship between the main character and a single love interest. I don't know what's getting planned so far, and I doubt I'll be too disappointed if this doesn't come to be the case, so if it's not feasible I won't shed any tears.
