MY NEW GAME “MELODY” IS READY FOR YOU TO PLAY!
So as mentioned in today’s earlier post, I’ll start off by giving you some details about the game before you begin playing it.
The beginning of this new visual novel will have quite a lot of backstories and plenty of details for each of the characters involved, through conversations that they have with you, the main character.
We’ve done this is so you’ll get (almost) all the information you’ll need to know about them straight away.
It’s also because for future episodes, we can then focus more on the MC’s dates with the multiple female options in the game, but also mainly the female lead Melody.
Just like when v0.0.1 of my previous game was released, we'll be reading your feedback after you’ve played the game, and we will fix or change things to make it a better game and include them with our release of v0.02.
One of the best things about the first game we felt were the ideas and suggestions for scenes, mini-games and locations, that fans put to us here in the comments section or on the Community board.
So please, we are welcome to your ideas, as we want this game to be to your own tastes and desires as much it will be for ours. As always, if you find any errors or bugs in the game, please PM them to me and I’ll have them fixed by the next update.
Melody primarily focuses on the music theme and your lessons with her to begin with, but that will change later in the game when you start properly dating her.
I understand that this game won’t be for everyone, and it won’t have some of the aspects that may have intrigued you enough to play DMD. But it’s a project my team and I have worked really hard on everyday for the past 5-6 weeks, a project that we feel will be worth the time and effort we’ve put in, and we sincerely hope it will be to your liking.
One thing we strive to achieve is to continually deliver you a good storyline, and to evolve with our animations, scene ideas, and the renders that many fans have given me wonderful compliments for, during the production of my previous game.
Features in the Menu Section (the top right corner of the page, where Melody’s face is).
Relationship Level: There are seven levels (or “Keys”) in the game, and if you gain enough “Melody” points during each level, your relationship with her will progress.
Since you are a stranger to Melody in the beginning, you will first have to gain her TRUST (key).
Once you have achieved that, the new goal will appear in this section.
Some of these keys may take two or three episodes to achieve, and some keys will be harder than others to attain.
This is where having the walkthrough will be vitally important!
Check out the “MAIN GOAL” to find out how many points you’ll require to unlock each level.
Basic Info: This section has some of Melody’s personal details, such as her Age, Height, Relationship Status etc
Sexual Progress: This section show you how your progress is going with Melody.
Other girls: Upon meeting any of the other girls in the game, they will be stored in this section.
Depending on whether or not you accept or reject them, will depend on if their paths will be “Locked” or “Unlocked”.
You can change this to “Locked” or “Unlocked” at anytime while playing Melody. However, if you wish to remain completely faithful to Melody, or hope to do more activities with her or view extra scenes, then it’s recommended that you keep all the other girl options “Locked” at all times, during the course of the game.
Your info: The name you have chosen to be the main character. You can change this at anytime while the game is in progress.
The HELP section
All the same features from DMD will be a part of the game, and we have also enabled the option to “Take a Screenshot” (by pressing the letter ’S’) while the game is in progress.
We know how much some of you love having extra pictures of the game, so we’ve made this really simple for you. ;)
Also, as this is only the start of the game, more girls will be joining the cast in future versions.

I absolutely loved the character development and the story being told! Great work, keep it up! I did notice my game had no sound.... I am not sure if this was a user error or if it was something wrong with the download?

Personally, I love the new game. I like the setting, the characters are well developed and not repetative, I can easily identify with the main character. I did not regrat that I maintained my pledge - keep up the good work, MrDots! And thanks a lot.

I can't see the dynamic pictures in the game. Every time there is a dynamic picture, it is a mosaic picture.

To be honest I was expecting more . The plot does not cling, dialogues and texts banal (sometimes too much text , tired to read). The characters are not interesting , even the main character melody (this is my subjective opinion).Why are there so many characters in the first version ? Not one of the characters is uncovered . I understand can say this is the first version in the future , all characters will be developed ( through 10-15 versions, if the development of the game is not abandoned). At this point the game has one advantage , beautiful picture (I think for a good start this is not enough) . And Yes completely forgot about the most important thing, in the game there will be no interesting sexual content (our fetishes and the dirtiest imaginations will not be realized ) otherwise the game and the author will be banned again.

There's no sound atm. As for the H key, it works fine to me. Check if don't have your CAPS on as that might be the problem.

Yes there a sound option in the menu, but it isn’t an option for Melody or our previous game. It has been something that we’ve discussed as an option though. We’ll let you all know if or when it gets added to this game.

I saw this brought up by someone else and I have never gotten around to asking myself as it has never really bugged me enough to remember to bring it up, is there sound in the game? There is menu options for sound levels, but I have never noticed any sounds playing in this game or the previous one other than in the previous one it made a sound when it saved. Is this just implemented for when there may be sound in the future?

So far the game looks amazing, image and story wise. I especially dig the variety of characters and the slow more romantic story development between the tutor and Melody as that assures the game longevity and is also different from many games out-there where everything is purely sexual and gets boring after 3 episodes/chapters. So far the only bugs I've found is the one with the interview that has already been mentioned in the comments above and there is also a small bug in the dialogue where the speaker is you, the tutor but the dialogue suggests it's Melody who is speaking. Feedback: The game is off to a pretty good start. I enjoy most of the characters so far and dig the music theme. Per usual, you do a great job of taking your time to develop characters properly and give multiple scenes to display their qualities. In that regard, your doing just fine. Any gripes I have are pretty small. For starters, it would be nice if you implemented a screen or effect that let's the player know when the day has changed or advanced in time. The transition from scenes can be jarring, especially if you don't make certain choices. Secondly, it seems like there is just a little too much exposition. Again, I understand your reasoning behind it, and for the most part it works, but in a few instances the characters seem to go out of their way to tell you things they shouldn't trust you enough to say yet. The meaning behind Melody's name seems like a randomly injected comment, and I cringed a little when Amy starts talking about how destiny brought you together for a reason. Like I said, little things. You done did good! I'm looking forward to more.

Dig the this new game a lot so far. The only thing i really noticed so far bug wise was on the continuity when i made the decision to go with melody to get the gift. Later on they act like i went to the interview instead. Other than than it's been a lot of fun. Good job

Really great launch. Was looking forward to the new game and I am not disappointed. Love the new UI and characters. Running fine for me as well, although I think the only thing to mention is I think I caught a few spelling mistakes, but I think I can let that slide :P. Keep up the great work :). *Spoiler* I also like how we were able to have a sex scene already. I think it would strike a nice balance to kind of have a fun side "event" in each update, and save the build up and tension for the main and/or side characters. Wouldn't have to be full blown sex everytime, but I feel one critique of the previous game is that it was a pretty slow burn before anything happened with anyone. Defiantly want build up with the main cast, but having fun little side events would be interesting and maybe there could be some neat ideas to come in the future if that happens.

This will be amazing game,great first update. I see that the graphics are improved greatly,characters look fantastic,and honestly,i find Melody much more attractive than D. Other characters look amazing too,especially Isabelle and Amy. Even though it was obvious for the game and the story,i do like the way Melody is falling for MC,i just hope to see her being to one to seduce MC into relationship instead the other way round,we have that route in other game so it would be nice change to see her trying for MC but without immediately putting herself out. Looking forward to next update,keep it up!

I went with Melody to get the gift and skipped the interview but the dialogue towards the end didn't line up with that decision. Everyone was talking like I went to the interview instead. Other than that it was good and makes me excited for future updates!

They will do with further updates. Keep in mind that this is set over the course of two weeks in the life of the MC, so he'd be eager to meet a few people. And as stated in our post today, we wanted to give you guys (and girls) an idea of what the characters that feature in this first release are like, so we don't have to tell their stories and backgrounds in future updates. fixed, thanks for letting us know. I think when we were making the scenes at that time, we had the MC arrive the day before his first lesson with Melody, but then changed it to the same day, and forgot to change that line. Which also explains the line where Amy asks if he'd like to do the lesson with Melody that day, or the day after. Thanks again for picking that up!
