About this update (SPOILER ALERT)
The story of Melody an co. continues in this third instalment, and there are a number of new features that we have added into the game.
The main focus for this update is the “Adventurous” theme and how it will affect your relationship with your student Melody.
Of course, some of you are on the other girls’ paths, and you will have the opportunity to build on your respective relationship with your neighbor Rebecca, if you are currently interested in her.
Izzy is away this week, but the long-awaited arrival of Melody’s best friend Sophia will happen during this update of the game.
And finally, Melody’s Aunt Amy will become a romantic option also but we will be focusing on her in the next update. Please carefully read through the walkthrough (for those that are higher tier members), as there are some specific choices you will need to make in order to start a relationship with Amy. You may even have to go back through the game to view scenes specifically for her.
Scene with a small audio test
We’ve read the fans requests to include some audio into the scenes, which we know makes complete sense, given the theme of our game. This update features one scene during Melody’s flute lesson with you the MC.
This is simply a test run, as we’d like your feedback on the scene that contains this audio.
We are hoping to add more audio into future updates of the game, where we feel it’s necessary. Our main idea is to focus on creating as much content as we can first, and focus later on the music and sounds, which we believe are not as important as the main story.
Lewd Gallery
We’re introducing a new feature to the game called “Lewd Gallery”.
What is the Lewd Gallery?
The Lewd Gallery is a special gallery inside the game, which includes sexy images of Melody, but they will be from an alternative universe :P.
This will allow me to spice the game up a little and add some nice renders that otherwise wouldn’t happen until later in the game (or maybe never)
IMPORTANT: The Lewd Gallery is available to +$10 patrons. $20 patrons will be able to download the entire gallery in 1080p as part of the extra content. The gallery will be growing as we progress with the development of the game. Our idea is to release 8 pictures per update.
Extra Scenes for $20 Patrons:
- Melody masturbating in the bathroom (animated)

P.S. There's a small bug in the game that will be fixed in the next update. Players can reach the 50 points necesary to advance to the next relationship level in this update, but this won't change in the Relationship menu. We will add the new level in the next update. Apologies for this mistake.

I'm at Chune Up, but no matter what combination of lyrics I pick (even cheating), I'm apparently wrong? Is there any way to get it right, or are you meant to fail?

I'm probably getting boring praising your work and this game but still,fantastic work guys,easily one of my favourite games of them all and it's only 0.3! Melody and Becca are stunning,can't wait for more!

I first became aware of Melody a week ago after playing "the other game" and was immediately hooked. The characters and their backgrounds, the story, all of it was top notch. As the reader, and player, I could see and feel the connection between Melody and the MC as the story progressed, and was definitely excited for the next update, which is what prompted me to "donate." Unfortunately, for me at least, week 4 felt rushed, and overall, it fell flat. With the exception of the MC coming to Melody's rescue, and the "birthday party piano scene," I really felt nothing as a reader and player for their connection. Also, and it could be because I am missing something, the "flute" lesson seemed out of place. Maybe it was because I was expecting the MC as a tutor to try and continue strengthening her weaknesses. His "complimenting her" by commenting it was good to see her "dressing as a lady," was not a compliment but an insult, and at the birthday party, when Amy is praised for her appearance, I felt Melody's compliment was more of an afterthought. Of course I understand this was all about a romance tree with Amy. All of that aside, I still think Melody is most definitely worthy of my money and look forward to the next week (aka update).

Click on Melody's portrait in the upper right corner to open the relationship manager, select the 'Other Girls' screen in the menu, click to change the relationship status of each girl as told in the instructions. Heartfelt thanks to MrDots for adding the option of manually changing the relationship status of secondary routes in their games. You can only do this for each girl once the game reaches a point when the relationship can potentially start - for Amy this means the perfume buying scene.

Excellent update, as expected by this developer team. The harem is sure building fast, but it is justifiable since the MC and the girls all look and behave like nice, interesting, and attractive people that follow their hearts and hormones. They just cautiously experiment with new relationships because of previous bad experiences or difficult job circumstances. Even Melody is already falling head over heels for her tutor, they just don't realize it yet because of her loss and poor experience with boyfriends and his focus on professional responsibility. It is refreshing to see most characters are good people that have good romance, good sex, slice of life, and personal growth in the story. Yay for Melody and the MC supporting each other in fully realizing their potential. It is pleasant to see how compatibility naturally evolves into friendship and then strong romantic/sexual attraction with Melody, Amy, and Becca (Izzy and the MC are old friends meeting again, so they jumpstart into fuckbuddies). Even Arnold dances the line between self-absorbed jerk and good man scarred by loss. Only the screwed-up exes (Bethany and Steve) register as utterly unsympathetic, spoiled assholes. I'm curious to see if and how the author shall redeem Bethany if she ever shows up later as a romantic interest. Already eager to see more of the story, and how the MC shall juggle his growing harem to keep everybody happy. I guess even Sophia won't take too much to become an eager harem candidate, once she fully appraises the MC's worth.

After the perfume buying event, you have an option to manually unlock the relationship with Amy, same as with Izzy and Becca. It is what I did to counter the effects of the bug that activates the wrong dialog in the scene, despite the player doing the correct actions to woo Amy.

Nice Update and story developement! Will there be a new window, to start on the Amy Route or do I really have to start the game all over making the earlier "right" decisions to get on with her? Keep up the good work, can't wait till the next update :D.

Hello, should my relationship with Melody advance to next level after reaching 50+ points(adventurous), I have expected similar like after 25+(friend), bit nothing have happened. Great game overall, keep it comming.

If you've downloaded the update correctly, then when you open the Melody.app, your saves from v0.0.2 should automatically be in the save slots. Did you originally download v2 through MrDots' Patreon page?

Hey guys, that "bug" is just a dialogue error, so just ignore it if you are able to buy the Koko Shanel bottle. We'll have that fixed asap and replace the links so this isn't in the new update. Apologies for this.

When I got to the dinner it played out as if I had chosen the expensive one, so it didn't have any effect on the plot. Just that the dialogue of the choice played for both.

Bit of a bug...When choosing Koko Shanel, it plays through, she wants to go halves, we say cool, awesome, then it like skips back as if none of that conversation had happened and I had chosen the cheaper one instead? Not sure yet how that will impact on opening of Amy route later yet..

Hm...great update so far (I am not done yet, but I've encountered a possible bug: When chosing the perfume I get the same answers back for both! (stuff about the Shanel being too expensive! Well, a bit later chosing the "wrong" bottle kind of gives the right answers...strange, really strange because when trying to chose the shanel I get Melody telling me she hoped I would chose otherwise!)...) Also: What's with the main character trying to encourage "lady behaviour"? (Seriously, I am not a supporter of third wave feminism or anything, but I am also not into forcing people to adhere to any stereotypes! So no: Dress like a lady, damned! Or the reverse: Dress like a freaking man, don't wear pink etc.) I mean I might be weird, but I actually love tomboys - especially since most are more honest than other women IMHO (most tomboys try to make it on their own merrits and they want to be "one of the guys" so they don't try to force men around them to change etc.)

There appears to be a bug when you chose perfumes. I chose the pricer one but the game treats it like I choose the cheap one. Nothing gamebreaking but just a heads up.

nice update … I love the way it is headed .. I will add no matter the option you choose with thanking her (Amy) and lying to her the koko channel still doesn't pop up I had to unlock it in menu top see that scene .. just a heads up for a possible bug to look for … love the game and I'm all about melody .. I like the others but she is definitely my focus and I think it is because you haven't went passed kissing yet …
