Poll: What is your favourite lead-character combination?

Thank you so much for the feedback and responses to the poll that we posted last week.
It was a pleasure to read the various reasons as to why you love each of the three games that we've created so far and to also see how much the characters and their stories mean to you as the player.
We spend a lot of time trying to give every character their own personalities so that no two people are the same.
Anyway, we have a new poll question for you all today!
We've discussed various themes for what we want for Game #4, but we haven't decided on one specific theme to go with as yet.
One of the biggest questions that we've asked ourselves is:
"Do we go with a similar theme to our second or third games, or do we go with something completely different next time?"
Below we've listed some basic main character relationships that could potentially be the basis for our next story.
You can vote for your most preferred theme or if you are unsure, you can choose more than one option.
Again, please your thoughts in the comments section below.
- An older man / a younger woman
- An older woman / a younger man
- Childhood friends or best friends
- Characters that are about the same age but do not know each other (they meet for the first time)
- A comic book or video game character-themed game like Lara Croft, Harley Quinn, Tifa Lockheart etc.
You can choose more than one, because our next VN could include more than one of these options.

Agreed, Im also getting tired of the MILF stuff, what normal man would go for a 40+ year old over an 18-19 year old? The answer is no one.

Voted the same age couple. I'm getting really tired of the "old man/young woman" coupling, it has been done to death and need a very, very long rest. One of the reasons why I like same age couples is that they usually have the same amount of life experience, meaning that they will learn and experience new things as a couple, compared to 1 being older and already experienced and teach the other. This will also work with childhood friends or best friends too.

I remember going to a friend's wedding, and during the bridesmaid's speech, she said that "Joey" (the bride) had found her "Dawson". My missus said to me afterwards "That doesn't make any damn sense! Joey ends up with Pacey!!" LOL Unsurprisingly, that marriage didn't last long! :D

Same age characters meeting and forming a relationship from the beginning is a good idea. Allows the characters to grow as the story progresses, making interactions more meaningful and unexpected in a way.

I'd like the same age characters, but they shouldn't like each other right away (love at first sight is overrated), instead put them in odd situations where love or lust grows with time. Also, can you make some of the bad choices be the right choice in the long run? It would be refreshing not trying to maximise the points to have the best outcome in the end

The best friends scenario is ok, but I know I might get laughed out, It makes me think of Dawson's Creek--Dawson, Joey. Pacey-- I didn't like the ending of the series. I kind of wanted Dawson and Joey to end up together or for Gretchen to return for Dawson--Pacey and Joey together and Dawson and Gretchen. So there are some good scenarios and endings there.

I enjoy the older man/younger girl theme but I think a new route for the next game would be fun. I opted the Characters that are about the same age but do not know each other route as this opens a mass of options. Meet at work/Bar/club or one I think would be fun Meet on Holiday. I mean a holiday romance opens up many options and post holiday will they feel the same? Its like a Grease scenario!

I like the best friend's thing cause that can lead to so many things. Do you feel that you may lose the friendship? Should you be together? What happens if it does not work out? How can it work out with someone that knows you so well already? You will both know of past or present relationships and how you both handle that. The older younger is also very interesting. How does that work out over time? Will either side worry that you may look for a "younger model". Can you keep up with a younger person?

I'm kinda on the fence when it comes to comic book or video game characters, not sure what kind of story that would be. I'm not opposed to the characters cosplaying, like maybe meeting for the first time at a convention but wouldn't want the story to be completely comic book, video game, or superhero based. The most important thing is an evolving romantic storyline like in Melody and/or the first two chapters of DMD and/or the shortcake path. If that makes any sense. Now if the characters have video game looks, my favs are Lara Croft, Tifa, Rikku (FFX), and maybeTalim and Amy (Soul Calibur), and Momiji (DOA/Ninja Gaiden) I'm sure that's way too demanding, so as long as we get the romance like in Melody I'd be ecstatic.

Wouldn't vote for the older man/younger woman simply because if the man is older than 50 or so it starts to be a turnoff for me. But the age difference in DMD was perfect. Always nice when the main character man has some life experience and confidence and the woman is much younger, right at the cusp of womanhood.
