Sunshine Love v0.0.2 Now Available!

Wherever you are in the world, we hope that you are safe and looking after yourself as best as you can, and as always, we really appreciate the support that you have given us throughout the creation of our three games to date.
We thank you for your patience given the week delay of this update, as we know that most of you have been eagerly awaiting the follow-up to our debut release of “Sunshine Love”.
In creating this next part of the story, it was hard to gauge exactly how much work and content we would be able to put into this release before we began production around six weeks ago.
But believe us when we say that there is plenty of content in SL v2, a lot more than we were expecting to put in. So after an incredibly stressful month and a half, we proudly present the second version of SL, available for you to download and play now!

About this update
Unlike the first release, every character (that we shared previews of before the game was released) will feature in SL v2.
That won’t always be the case with every update, but there will be several scenes in the game where you can build your rapport or relationship with each of these girls/women.
This update focuses a lot on learning more about the characters you have already met during the first update, and also being introduced to some new characters for the very first time.
Make sure to pick up relationship points for the girls that you might be interested in romantically, as that will be highly important once you complete the Task List and then move on to the Hotel being at a Two-Star rating.
*There will be more information on that in a future game day post.
We have added 14 new sound effects (50 in total) into this update to hopefully give a bit more of a realistic vibe/feel about them.
There has also been 12 new animations, 25 donut gallery images, and 34 peeping tom gallery images added to this update.
Changes that we’ve made
After the first release, there was always going to be a few things that were going to work well for us and some not so well.
So in other words, it was a typical first release for any developer.
We received a lot of suggestions for what we could do to improve your game-playing experience and we’ve done our best to include some of these changes for you.
Changes and edits:
- Fixed previous grammar errors and bugs, changed some lines from v.1 that were minor plot holes.
- For this update, we have spaced out the locations of the Doughnuts in this release, rather than grouped them all closer together.
This will mean the Doughnut notification sound won’t come up too frequently (unless you’ve switched it OFF of course.)
- We have also put another new option into the menu for when you are searching for the doughnuts.
From this update onward, once you have found a doughnut, you no longer have to find the same one again, and the special render attached to each doughnut will remain in the special gallery. This will be known as the “Doughnut Reappearing” option.
So to have the Doughnuts not appear again once you’ve located them, set this option to “Disabled”.
You will find this listed in the main menu under Options > Extra Preferences > Donut Reappearing (Enabled/Disabled).
- For $20 tier members, we have made the “Relationship Level Increased/Decreased” sound notification optional in the menu.
This will aid these tier members if you need to scroll back and change your decisions during the game (to gain points you may have lost or missed).
You will find this option listed in the main menu under Options > Extra Preferences > Stats Notifications (Enabled/Disabled).
- You can now enable or disable the “Peeping Tom Mode” also if you wish to.
You will find this listed in the main menu under Options > Extra Preferences > Peeping Tom Mode (Enabled/Disabled).
Some of you would have preferred to play the first update without having the doughnuts or the Peeping Tom avatar appearing on screen, as they may have been a distraction.
By disabling these options, you can enable them during a second play through, so you can make finding these extra renders the main focus.
You will be able to do that from this update onward.
- You can now turn off the sound notifications for each time you find a doughnut or whenever you click on the Peeping Tom face when it pops up on the screen.
You will find this listed in the main menu under Options > Audio Preferences > Doughnut/Peeping Tom sound notification (Yes/No)
- We’ve included a “Dialogue Textbox” for those of you who had trouble reading the text during the first release. This option should make things easier.
You will find this listed in the main menu under Options > Game Preferences > Dialogue Textbox (Yes/No)
- We’ve added 6 more “Background” images into your tablet menu.
- There will be a notification on screen when a new character has been added to the Relationship menu.
When this appears at the top of the screen, click on your Tablet, then > Char. info.
In this section, you will see the new character added into the “Relationship Stats” and “Characters Info” sections.
Rewards Gallery
The two Rewards Galleries will have a select number of additions for this update.
For the Peeping Tom Gallery, there will be 37 special alternate renders for each of the ten female characters in the game.
Simply click on “Tom’s” face, and you will see an alternate version of the render that is on screen at the time.
The other special addition to this first version of Sunshine Love is the “Doughnut Gallery”.
There will be 25 bonus renders for you to locate and view in this update.

If you need help in locating any of these “Doughnut Gallery” bonus renders, we recommend that you use the Special Rewards Gallery Walkthrough to make finding them much easier (if it is available to you).
For this first update, five specially chose female characters will have extra bonus renders for you to view and search for.
The next update will feature some of the other characters in this gallery.
And how will you locate all of these bonus renders you might ask? Simple!
We have set it up for you to search for the “hidden doughnuts” that will pop up on the screen throughout the update.
Clicking on them will unlock these special renders, and then they will be available for you to view them in the Rewards gallery!
And the best part is, once you’ve found them (or the Peeping Tom renders) then they will automatically be saved in the Rewards galleries.
In other words, you don’t need to find the same ones again, they will permanently stay in the gallery, even if you load a different save slot!

Hotel Menu
You will see a Hotel icon on the left side of your screen. This will contain the current star rating of the hotel, the set tasks you must complete to turn it into a one-star hotel, services you can provide your guests, the staff who work there, and some history behind the hotel and the lighthouse.
When you reach each level, the stars in the middle will light up. Your main objective is to turn the place into a five-star hotel by the end of the game.
The set tasks will change each time you move up a star level, so be sure to check the “Task List” each time you do this.
Task List
In order to improve the quality of the hotel, you will be given a set of tasks to complete before you can move up to the next hotel Star Rating.
It’s currently at zero stars, but once you’ve complete all six tasks, then you will move up to a “1-Star Rating”.
In this update, you will automatically complete the first task, so you can get an idea of what you need to do and how it works.
Future tasks though you will have to do yourself by making certain decisions..
You will see this notification on screen when you have completed a task.
And if you take a look at your tasks list in the Hotel menu, it will have a check next to it once it’s been completed.
Try and complete the tasks as soon as you are given them in each update, because the longer you take to complete them, the more chance the hotel will fail!

Final Word
To say that the first half of 2020 has been a rough start to the year would be an understatement.
It’s been a challenging time for everyone, and with these games/VN’s that we’ve been making over the past three and a half years, we normally thrive under tough conditions.
Being consistent with our updates and trying to continually put them out at least once a month has always been our main priority, regardless of any obstacles we might have faced. And we’re doing our utmost to continue with that consistency.
There’s so much negativity going on in the world at the moment that we hope we can bring at least a couple of hours of enjoyment and entertainment to you with this new release of Sunshine Love.
My team and I are pretty positive-minded people, and we make these games for you all as much as we do ourselves.
Anyway, we certainly hope that Sunshine Love v0.0.2 has been worth the wait for you all. It’s still very early days in the production of this, our third VN, so not everything is going to be perfect. But something that always happens is that great ideas are always presented to us or created from very little, the longer we work on these updates.
