Sunshine Love v0.0.6.1 Now Available!

As promised, we are very excited to deliver Version 6 of SUNSHINE LOVE to you after a very short turnaround from the update of our other game.

Bear in mind, we only gave ourselves four short weeks to create and deliver this release to you all, but we strongly believe that we’ve produced an entertaining new instalment with plenty of options and scenes that will satisfy you all.
We mentioned in our previous update that due to the number of female love interests in the story, that it’s not always possible for them to feature in every single release.
We’re well aware that some characters are more popular than others though.
Some of the girls are regarded more as “lead female characters” than others, however, that doesn’t mean that any of these leads won’t take a backseat in future updates.
Doing this would allow us to give other girls more than ample screen time and to give you, the main character, a chance to spend some quality time with them.
We’ve certainly done that with two of the more minor characters in this release.
Another thing to keep in mind is when some of the cast have small roles in a release, it could be us just setting things up for them to have bigger roles in the next update.
So that could be things like a very short scene with them, or a phone call or message where they discuss what they are going to do together the next day or on the weekend.
Overall, we’re very happy with this release. We strongly feel that it moves the story forward while also challenging the two main leads with some setbacks and obstacles they will have to overcome in the future. And you the player will have to help them along with that.
Choices that you have made in previous updates will also be important in this version of the story, and some scenes will only be available depending on what options you have selected previously.
If you have the Walkthrough, it will give you clear instructions on how to view some of these alternate scenes.
You can also begin or stop two new paths with girls in this update. They should be pretty obvious when you get to these specific scenes with each girl.

About this update
For those of you who have played up until the end of the previous update, we know that you’re eager to find out how you, the MC will get out of the situation you find yourself in when you wake up.
Was it intentional what Shortcake did? How will your Friend react when she wakes up? What happens if both girls wake up before you do?
And what about Connie and her pool party? How will you and your Friend manage the event (if it goes ahead) without pissing off her father (“The Boss”), or without him finding out?
What do you think of the new girl Connie so far?
Do you think she’s someone that you could be romantically interested in or has the idea of dating a rival hotel owner’s daughter completely put you off the idea already?
And for those of you who are interested in Kristina, do you remember what you promised to do with her on Friday? Are you aware that the next day of the story is… Friday???
Even if you’re not interested in Kristina in a romantic sense, your time with her will be important in this update, as will be the choices that you make in the scenes where she features.
NOTE: If you chose to “Make a Deal” with her during Week 2, you’ll have the chance to spend more time with Kristina in this update.

Lastly, something that a lot of our supporters have told us that they’ve enjoyed about Sunshine Love so far is the backstory’s that we have included throughout each update.
And how you would like to see more scenes from the past.
Before we began creating the designs and character models for the game, one thing that we wanted to include was in-depth backstories for each character, especially the leads.
This is why the game starts from the MC and your friend’s childhood years, rather than in present day. Plus it was a different approach for us compared to the first two VN’s.
So with that being stated, we have added one major scene from your (the MC’s) later teenage years into v6, one we’re very confident that you’ll be pleased to see!
Even though it’s been a year since our first release, it’s still pretty early days into the story of SL, and you may need to build up your relationship with some of the ladies in
Sunshine Bay first before you start getting to the “good stuff” with them. Whereas others might be DTF sooner rather than later! :D
Searching for Easter Eggs!
For our $10+ tier members, we have decided to do something different for this new update.
To celebrate Easter that was at the start of April, instead of looking for doughnuts, you will be required to search for Easter Eggs!
Your hunt for Easter eggs, so you can unlock the next set of special renders, will just be for this new update only.
You will go back to looking for doughnuts again in Version 7.

Again, there will be plenty of new Peeping Tom images that you can view in V6 as well.
All up, there are 20 x new Easter Eggs (aka… Doughnuts) to locate, and 21 x Peeping Tom images.
Can you find all the Easter Eggs in this update? If you have the Rewards Gallery walkthroughs, they will certainly help!
Changes to this update
One major talking point we had from fans after Version 5 was released was why there wasn’t an option to “not kiss” Shortcake at Ashley’s beach house.
There was that option in the original script but unfortunately, it wasn’t implemented in time before the release was put out.
That has been adjusted now, so for those of you who DO NOT wish to be on her path, we recommend that you go back to this first scene option (below) so you can adjust your decision if required.
You will need to make two choices in the previous update to be on the “Shortcake” path when this new update begins.
When you sit by the pool at Ashley’s beach house in the afternoon, you have to choose: “Ask Shortcake her plans”.

Then when you sit by the same pool with “Shortcake” later that night, you have to choose “Kiss her”.
When you do these two things, it means you will also have a date with Shortcake in Version 7.
Alternatively, you might be asked at the start of this version if you kissed Shortcake by the pool in the last update.
Choosing “Yes” will put you on her path.
There will also be an option in the future where you can just be friends with your “Friend”, however (much like what we did with Melody),
we may not implement that option until after the story-part of the game is finished. We’ll see how that goes though.

Final Words
So here it is, the brand-new update of SUNSHINE LOVE - VERSION 6! It is now available for you to download and play.
We really appreciate every single one of you for supporting us throughout the production of our three games to date.
The team and I would love to be able to continue making these kinds of games for as long as possible and having you all supporting and encouraging us will make that dream possible.
Whenever we get to the last week of working on any of our updates, we always wish we had more time to add in more scenes, more animations, or give more screen time to certain characters. But unfortunately, that’s not always possible, and once we’ve set a deadline, we always try our hardest to have the update released on time for you all.
You guys (and girls) are funding our projects, and in return, we want to keep to our word and to deliver our work on time, every time.
For the next few weeks, we’ll be working on our other game, and then once that has been released, we will re-commence work on Sunshine Love V7.

I just copied my old saves from v 0.05 to my computer (if like me you're using a Samsung device than UI 3.1 has limited accessing program files in the Android folder) uninstalled v 0.05 -> installed v 0.06, than pasted those saves back into the "saves" folder...while that does kinda work as far as keeping old saves it also makes the playthrough buggy (for me anyway) I won't spoil story events but certain characters dialogue cause errors (says they are not defined), I can't collect some of the Easter eggs, my save files in v 0.06 have distorted thumbnails, and (except the few Easter egg images I've been able to collect) none of the new content is available from the main menu. Sunshine Love is a game in development so, frustrating as it might be, it's probably best to just start a new playthrough with every new iteration. Yeah, pain in the ass, but it's been worth it so far in my opinion.

"Friend" will more than likely be the one to take a backseat in the next update (we've already worked out a way for that to happen). We encountered a similar problem when we were making Melody. At around Week 7, we included an option to just be friends with her, but because we'd already had the MC do quite a lot with her, we had to wait until near the end to write scenes where you don't see Melody as a romantic interest. As we said in the game post yesterday, we'll do whatever we can to give every girl a fair balance so that fans like yourself get to see the content you want to with the characters you're interested in. In this last update, we focused a lot of the scenes on Friend, Connie, Kristina, and the Twins, while also setting things up for future scenes for Shortcake, Yuki and Trisha. We already have an idea of who will primarily feature in v7 and who will either have minimal roles or not feature at all.

I have 32 Bit system installed but when I am trying to open the application, it is not opening and showing some error message.

I'm a little bummed we're getting forced down the Friend path until the game is basically finished. Given the wide cast of characters I was hoping there'd be a little more of a branching choice this time around. I actually can't stand the friend, she's impulsive and overly emotional, lets it become a burden on other characters, and doesn't seem to have any major redeeming traits. It already felt like we got forced onto her path the last update, sounds like I'll need to just mash through her scenes to get to the content I'm actually interested in.

I still have v0.0.5 installed on my android, so I can have my save points, but when I try to download v0.0.6, it keeps telling me "App not installed" ... so I need to delete the old version and lose my saves?? I tried both the android & alternative downloads.
