Chasing Sunsets Development Update - Mea Culpa and Status

It's been waaaaaaay too long since we've made an update, and there's absolutely no excuse for that.
I'll start by saying that development of Chapter 10 is going full steam ahead, and we're trudging doggedly toward the finish line.
One element of wrapping up our first game we've struggled a bit with is saying good bye to characters we've become attached to over the game's development.
As such, we've seen a bit of "scope creep" in our closing chapter, with a steadfast determination to give each ending its due.
The result is that we are currently at an update size that meets or exceeds our normal chapter release, but we still have a ways to go.
With each ending getting its share of humor, lewd content, and loose end resolution, it's fair to say we underestimated the scope of delivering closure.

As of today, I would estimate development of the final chapter at approximately 70-75% complete.
The good news is that with the holidays behind us, our development pace has accelerated, so I'm reasonably confident our final chapter will deliver in May. This should give us time to wrap up the remaining scenes, complete sound and music integration, test the choice matrix, and beta test.
Once again, I apologize for the dearth of updates. I promise they will become more frequent as we close in on game completion.

Read this and replayed the game again to get me some of my Jaye fix. Really looking forward to the next update. Also sad that it's almost over, but what you created is in my top 2 of all time, and Jaye is the queen for all time. The work you have done has been incredible.

This is fantastic news! I was recently thinking it's been a while since we've heard from Stoya and Kent and that I wonder how you're getting on. To know the finish line is almost in sight and that the update is going to be even bigger than we thought fills me with anticipation and excitement that I can barely contain! Too often Devs see they are so keen to finish the game they rush the ending and it's noticeable to the player. Of course we wouldn't expect that from you guys, not with the quality and standards you've brought thus far, and I'm glad your perfectionist nature is shining through so that all the loose ends will be tied up 😁 I know you're putting your hearts and souls into this and I can't wait to see your finished masterpiece, and I equally can't wait for you guys to be able to look back and be proud of the completed masterpiece you would have created 🙂🙂🙂
