Whiskey Wednesday

Today's whiskey pick is an Irish Whiskey called Dingle, that is very hard to find here in Las Vegas and I was thrilled when I was gifted this bottle from a new friend in Colorado. I tend to be very sensitive to a smokey finish, which this one definitely has. But, I started to enjoy it after the third sip. I probably would add a bit of ice or water, just for that reason alone, but I did drink it neat and it definitely grew on me. Here is some more info.
Sláinte! 🥃
Notes from Master of Malt:
Dingle Single Malt No. 4 produced over in south-west Ireland has been drawn from a combination of bourbon, sherry and port casks. The marriage of casks is a harmonious one, with generous helpings of dried fruit and vanilla. Just 2,000 bottles of this whiskey were produced.
Nose: A creamy mixture of chocolate and vanilla alongside sherried dried fruit and toffee.
Palate: A distinct winey note, with more vanilla, oak, dried apricot and sultanas with a good helping of malt.
Finish: Gingersnap biscuits, dark chocolate and a hint of refreshing citrus.

It varies! I hope you find something you like 😘

I will check out some of your favourites. But, I guess some are from small, independent distilleries?
Jordan Ashley
No, as I'm a big fan of pot still, that has both malted and unmalted barley. I will try Tullamore Dew again. I have a bottle at home!

You prefer malt whisky?
Roy Kristian Lønhøiden
Yes, I've been a fan for a while, since I tasted it first time, I guess 2014, in Ireland 🇮🇪
Jordan Ashley
I didn't particularly enjoy it, but I tried it a long time ago. I should try it again. Are you a fan?

What do you think of Tullamore Dew?
