When I was in Park City, I had to pick a High West bottle to enjoy being that the distillery is located there. Unfortunately, when I went to the restaurant/bar/distillery, on my last evening in PC, they were closed for a private party. π’ I was very disappointed, as I missed going there the year before. Oh well! I will need to try again next year!
This is an easy bourbon, nothing distinctive. Just a nice, easy drink to warm a girl up on a cold evening!
Whiskey for the Ages calls it "An introductory bourbon, if there ever was one. Balanced sweet, unaggressive alcohol, affordable price. Nothing to complain about, and a good intro to the line."

Notes from Master of Malt:
Nose: Light caramel notes supported by mixed peels and cinnamon.
Palate: Sweet, toasty spices, vanilla, cherries and manuka honey.
Finish: Peanut brittle, chocolate orange and hints of dried red berries.
Overall: Quite a light Bourbon with subtle oak.

Last weekend I bought a new release of High West called High West American Prairie Bourbon. Itβs finished in rum barrels for .5-2 years. Itβs sweet and spicy. Smooth. You should try it. Not sure if itβs a limited release or not.

Beautiful and great taste as always. Love love High West. Love their Bourye. And especially their premade cocktails, the barreled boulevardier and barreled manhattan.
