How adult do we want to go?
🕑 Added 2018-09-29 18:38:11 +0000 UTC As you know, from the very beginning TGOR was set to be a simulation of life, without hiding anything "behind the camera". Many games, which have breeding of creatures, do it in a "family-friendly" way, without showing anything at all (like Spore), hiding it behind the scenes (like Pokemon,) or making some weird disturbing multiplication behavior (like Minecraft).As expected by everyone, In TGOR there are creatures of different genders, and despite the stylized artstyle, they have all their genitalia and other essential bodily features in place, just as it should be with realistic nudity
However, to make the game more friendly to a wider audience of people, I wanted to put a black censoring effect onto the reproductive organs (and other orifices) while they are "in use" or just "ready", keeping the outright porn hidden, while leaving the realistic nudity intact. This would also benefit in creating a somewhat more romantic atmosphere for the people unfamiliar with the game, not making it appear too "dirty" or "naughty" for them.
Censore effect idea - "mysterious darkness spot" filter, inspired by Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. (Another idea was to make it covered in foam and bubbles xD )
Of course, we're making the game for our cherished and beloved furries and scalies, and most of us love seeing explicit sexual scenes when it comes to creatures we love, but some of us (not me!) might not be comfortable with that theme...
Some people are here not because of sexual side of things at all, they are here for the life simulation part in general. This is why the censore effect is important, and that's why it's enabled by default. Before you ask, yes It's possible to disable it: those who want to see things explicitly won't be disappointed, I promise!
Regardless if player has censore enabled or disabled, its a very adult themed game, which simulates nature and allows players to not only just do mating, but also thanks to its sandbox nature, it allows players to experiment with fetishes, violence, do adult roleplays, create (and potentially destroy) relationships... And in general the game world will have a bunch of weird kinky stuff, because of the alien mindsets of the creatures that live here - they think its normal to have things like doorways in form of dinosaur cloacas ;} .

All what I've talked above doesn't mean I should just start posting all the naughty things here immediately, this is up to you to decide if I should be doing that (why wouldn't you want that honestly?).
I will, just as before, continue sharing posts about regular game systems, such as combat, crafting, level design, movement, progression. With Patreon moved to adult mode, I now also have the freedom of talking about mating systems, animations for it and all that jazz, and while it all could be accompanied with juicy pictures, it is up to you to decide if you want less or more adult things featured here, so please participate in that poll!
However I would be all up for making and sharing more explicit adult content, even perhaps make exclusive art of creatures from our game (and not only, I love myself some r-34 of creatures from other games). I could post a lot of unpublished work here and perhaps even do some adult mods for other games :}
PS: On another note I can also be sharing NSFW content in a way that it's a censored preview here on patreon, but with an external link to a full uncensored version. If you'd like that, please tell me about it in the comments!

uuh I think forever apparently? There is no option to turn it off or conclude it, but the results seem pretty clear by now anyway! I shall write a post about what i think we should do, taking into account the results of this vote!

I'm of the mind that you should do what you need to do to keep your Patreon from getting in hot water. Optimally, I'd like the Patreon to be as unapologetic as the game itself, but I understand wanting to appeal to the widest audience you can. Links to uncensored posts would be okay. Another of my favorite creators, Cosmic-Life uses <a href="https://www.primeleap.net/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.primeleap.net/</a> to host adult content. It links up with patreon to allow certain tiers to access your content if that's a thing you want to do.

I think you misinterpreted how the patreon rules work. You're not supposed to put NSFW media & links on public posts, that's true... So therefore any link I'd put here would be only for patrons to see and access, perhaps even of different tiers too. And if that is not enough, I could make it so even the link itself leads you to our website that would verify that you are a patron using their API (it should be easy enough to code)

I don't mind explicit content on here, so long as it's related to the game (demonstration of mechanics, screenshots, WIPs, etc.). I'd prefer if non-game-related content was relegated elsewhere, unless it's being utilized in a manner (explanation, demonstration, etc.) that drives development of the game forward. For example, I would not mind nudes of, say, Alduin, if they're showcasing and improved physics or rendering engine, but I would not want nudes of Alduin just for sake of posting nudes of Alduin.

You cannot post external link to a full uncensored version of pictures, because it may be leaked and non-paying users would gain access to adult content. That'd break Patreon's NSFW content rules. Anything that has sexual themes must be behind paywall and stay within Patreon page.
I third having censored preview/uncensored links. That seems to be the best of both worlds.

Honestly I expected a little more range. Thinking most of us will vote NSFW patreon, I wanted to see options like "vanilla kinks only" and "medicore/hardcore kinks as well", stuff like that. Maybe some people are into intercourse but not... hell, I dunno, dropping cables! (hurr hurr)

I think toned down pictures on Patreon is a good idea, with more detailed/ graphic uhm optional pictures linked.. Although I will say sexy pics are likely always a good way to raise some additional funding :)..
Censored preview/Uncensored link seems like a fantastic idea!
