Planned new species
🕑 Added 2016-04-01 11:44:14 +0000 UTC First of all, this is not April fools joke! :}These are some portraits of the playable species that are going to be in the game. Colors/accessories is something that you definitely can change, the portraits are here to just give a general idea.
I'm sure you can name at least a couple of these guys, but what about the rest? At least three of these species don't even have proper names yet, so you could be all creative and suggest some ideas in the comments! Your input is always appreciated, I like discussing things with you :}
PS: try to think about names as they are "alien" species, who has no knowledge of human folklore and science. Animal names won't fit here, they are all coming from different worlds... Because they are not animals or mythological creatures.

Probably so, i was thinking along the lines of Air and something light sounding. i didn't know which ones were taken already so the already chosen names are fine. im familiar with Sergals though never knew where they originated from so that will be a nice look see. a follow up name for number two could be Rydra.

3 and 4 already have names, cause they are not made by me! They are from an awesome world made by super-talented artist and writer Mick ( <a href="http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mick39/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.furaffinity.net/user/mick39/</a> ) Sergal and Nevrean. I'm happy to help spread a word about this world and let more people to know about it through this game. However, about other names.. I like where you're going! For some reason a lot of people I asked about the second portraited species, they suggested names that with start with letter "A". Interesting, is it because they are "Avian"? But, well, I guess it works, confirms my theory!
i was thinking 1.Kaptarin 2.Aimarox 3.Phurvior 4.Ternarquian 5.Luzarian 6.Broazarik 7.Direenyxian(from the customize screen). i look forward to hearing other ideas too. I also wonder what other species might pop up.

Those are the names that are always used in human folklore. Try to approach them as alien races, they don't have the same concepts as humans. Sergal is a good example. There is no such name for any animal/species in this world, yet it has a strong, recognizable meaning for people who are already familiar with these lovely creatures.

This is all good! But here is the rule - don't use any existing names. If you were to meet an alien and asked them their species name... they wouldn't really name themselves "fox" or "ostrich" despite for humans eyes it might be a striking resemblance. Humans don't name themselves Apemen as well.
So do you plan to have any marine animals in the game? Maybe a whole new crazy scenery under the ocean?
1, Kobold, 2, Griffon, 3, would've guessed Synx but Sergal seems more accurate, 4 a fabulous ostrich?, 5, Fox, 6, Dragon, 7, Velociraptor, Drake, or another type of dinosaur.
