Visualisator news!
🕑 Added 2016-06-18 15:00:03 +0000 UTC Oh boy! I've been so busy with this lately! But thankfully it didn't take me too long to bring it to this level! Yet there is so much to do to make it a fully featured editor for posing models...In the next video I'm going to do will show in details how it works and all!
But I can answer any questions about the Visualisator in the comments :}

This is an orient gizmo, the idea taken from Spore :} . Usually in 3D-modeling progrmas you use the gimbal-like rotation gizmo (imagine a gyroscope), which I have included as well, but sometimes for quick rotations it's faster to just "orient" them by using a point-at arrow. It's not perfectly made yet, nor the traditional rotation gizmo... There is a lot of work and math that I yet need to figure out so the transformations are as smooth as is 3d modelling programs.

Oh awesome. It looks like it's coming along pretty well. Also I like how you rig, with the circle and the arrow. That seems really intuitive. (At least that's how it's represented in the few pieces you grabbed.

You see, only certain specific and somehow limited models can support that. For example you can't fit a clothing piece on a dragon if it was made for an anthropomorphic creature... And even if I make a separate one for the dragon, a completely different model from the rest - you won't be able to fit it onto all dragons, because everyone has very different proportions. However, what I could do is that certain models can come with swappable clothing pieces, kinda like they sell dolls or action figures: sometimes in the box you can find replacement/alternative clothing or other props.
Do you plan to add support for clothing and accessories that you can put on the poseable models? Like hats, tuxedos, chokers, bracers, etc.

Using the editor, yes you can! It's actually quite easy and automatic, took a lot of effort to do it that way :}

I hadn't thought about it before, but can I import models into the visualisator?
