🕑 Added 2023-12-21 02:39:19 +0000 UTC- This was a special dinner at the Waldhaus (Forest House) that was originally built as the clubhouse to the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Resort. It was snowing this night and completely made the mood for some very wonderful German food. I had the Austrian Schnitzel with spatzel (one of my favorite dishes) and red cabbage. My drink was a Grapefruit Gin Sour. I'm not a big gin drinker, but I have to say that this was very refreshing and tasty.
After dinner, it was all about the apple strudel. I was in such bliss that I forgot to take a photo. It was mouthwatering and super flakey. I paired this with a pear brandy which I first had in Innsbruck and it was very delightful.

I did try a couple sips of 2 area Whiskeys and now i can't remember the names. I'll have to see if I took a photo of the menu and get back to you!

I'm glad that you like German dishes. Wiener Schnitzel Spätzle and red cabbage, with a rich sauce. plus a glass of my red wine. for dessert, apple strudel with vanilla sauce. Perfect with a kirsch schnapps from the Schladerer distillery in the Black Forest. a delicious menu that I love very much. You are already a great connoisseur, your knowledge and taste for good food is great. Enjoyment keeps body and soul together, which can also be seen in your charisma and joy of life.
