I doubt it if the printer can make a fully solid wall. Even if there is the smallest hole in the wall, electrons will find it and make it wider. I think a proper air gap is safer, adding insulation is extra bonus
If you have a 3D printer still, Mabye make a insulator between the tower and the base?
